The Trump Admin is firing thousands of employees at the VA and indiscriminately eliminating positions held by veterans who make up about 30% of the federal workforce.
I care about Rhode Islanders. I will keep fighting tooth and nail against the Republican plan to slash hundreds of billions from Medicaid and SNAP to give tax breaks to the top 1%.
As a member of @housebudgetdems.bsky.social, I gave my Republican colleagues ample opportunities to show that they cared about Medicaid and SNAP — time and time again, they said no.
Don’t be distracted by Republican theatrics that mask hard facts.
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office said that House GOP’s budget plans ensure cuts of at least $880 billion from Medicaid — hurting the most vulnerable in #RI01 and across the country.
