As our community continues to grieve the loss of Graham Hoffman, we lay to rest this American hero and thank him for the lives he saved and his dedication to public service.
May his legacy be an inspiration and his memory a blessing to all.

Happy Jewish American Heritage Month!
All month long let us come together to celebrate the contributions of the Jewish community on our nation’s culture, values, and history.
This week, I had an opportunity to meet with Executive MBA students from @umkc.bsky.social's Bloch School of Management to discuss how Congress functions and what we can do to support the next generation of business leaders.
Thank you for taking the time to meet with me on Capitol Hill!
The reckless economic policies of Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Rubber Stamp Republicans are crashing the economy, leading to layoffs, and driving us into a recession.
The American people are already sick and tired of the higher costs and unmitigated chaos.
The tremendous achievements of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander community have enriched America for generations.
This May, let us join together to celebrate the contributions and leadership of AANHPI Americans in MO-05 and across the country!
In the first 100 days, Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Rubber Stamp Republicans have spent their time attacking Social Security, firing veterans, choking off medical research, and unleashing tariffs that are shrinking the economy.
Democrats are committed to using every tool at our disposal to stop it.
The Republican budget bill would enact multiple car taxes on Americans to the order of $7 billion each year, while the broader bill would give an average tax cut of $278,000 to each taxpayer in the top 0.1% of earners.
How does that benefit working families?
www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...
This is a direct result of the president’s reckless economic policies, which are rapidly driving America toward a painful and unnecessary recession.
Rather than raising tariff taxes on American consumers to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, the president should invest in working class families!
The CFPB has delivered $21B in relief to 205 million+ Americans by taking on junk fees, scammers, megabanks, and predatory lenders.
So why are Republicans trying to defund the agency?
They’re NOT fighting for the people—they're fighting for Wall Street & the ultra wealthy.
President Trump’s disastrous first 100 days have been a failure for the American people.
Costs, chaos, and corruption are all up, the economy is shrinking, and Republicans are making life harder for the American people.
Listen to Leader Jeffries lay it all out here:
youtube.com/watch?v=JZpy...
The Trump administration’s “policies threaten to undermine U.S. competitiveness in emerging areas like artificial intelligence, and to leave Americans as a whole poorer, less healthy and less productive in the decades ahead.”
www.nytimes.com/2025/03/31/b...
President Trump’s chaos and recklessness have isolated America on the world stage, raised prices on everyday goods, and led us straight toward a completely avoidable recession.
His first 100 days in office have been a complete disaster for American families—and they’re sick and tired of it.
This is funding for cancer research, disaster relief, critical infrastructure projects, and so much more – all of it approved by Congress and illegally withheld from communities like #MO05.
And American families are the ones paying the price.

Whether it's challenging extreme executive overreach, standing up for federal workers and vulnerable populations, or safeguarding our democratic norms, I will always stand up for families in #MO05
See how I’ve been pushing back here:
cleaver.house.gov/news/holding...
For 100 days, the Trump administration has wrought havoc on our communities by freezing federal investments, enacting the largest tax hike on consumers and small businesses in decades, and running roughshod over the Constitution and the rule of law.
The American people are tired of it.
As the Trump administration continues its assault on unions nationwide, I’m thankful the court has blocked the President’s illegal effort to gut federal employee unions.
I’ll keep fighting to defend unions and workers in #MO05 and all across the country!
www.axios.com/2025/04/25/t...
I was proud to join @booker.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social on the steps of the Capitol to call out Congressional Republicans’ heartless budget, which would enact the largest cut to Medicaid in history and gut programs like SNAP to fund another tax cut for billionaires like Elon Musk.
“The Trump administration is considering eliminating funding for two key federal programs that help millions of low-income Americans educate their young children and heat their homes.”
Taking from the needy to give another tax cut to the billionaires.

I was proud to secure $1 million in Community Project Funding to help bring this important project to life.
Investing in young moms and their babies means investing in the future of our communities – and that’s a promise I will always work to keep.

I was honored to attend the groundbreaking for Mother’s Refuge Welcome Home Housing Revitalization project – safe, supportive housing for pregnant & parenting young moms and their babies who need a stable place to thrive.
Every family deserves a strong start, & this project will deliver just that.
