Americans pay into Social Security month after month. They deserve to know what is happening to their benefits.
Limiting public communications to X, the outlet owned by the man trying to destroy Social Security, is an outrageous conflict of interest and assault on a benefit Americans depend upon.

Every freedom-loving patriot should be alarmed when someone can be deported and imprisoned with no access to due process. This cannot stand. (2/2)
Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia—a Maryland father—who the Dept. of Justice admitted was wrongfully removed from the US, has been denied due process and thrown in a foreign prison. (1/2)
Trump’s assault on Social Security should concern you.
For younger workers paying into the program, it is not a Ponzi Scheme; it's a hard-earned benefit you'll need in retirement, especially as wealth inequality worsens, higher costs of education and housing & more GOP tax breaks for billionaires.
Despite Trump parroting Kremlin propaganda, Russia bears sole responsibility for the mounting costs of its war in Ukraine.
Days after Putin's deadliest attack on Ukrainian civilians, together w/colleagues, I introduced comprehensive legislation to support Ukrainians in their fight for freedom.
Trump promised to bring prices down and claimed that foreign countries would pay his steep tariffs. Instead, he started a trade war where no one wins and is pushing small businesses in Austin to the brink.
Moreover, his tariffs will cost the average American family $4,700/year in higher prices.
Americans pay into Social Security with the promise of economic security in retirement and times of disability. Trump is breaking that pact as he disrupts customer service, closes offices, lays off workers, and promotes lies.
Trump, Musk and Republicans need to keep their #HandsOff Social Security.
Housing prices in Austin are trending down from a year ago, but it may not last long due to Trump's tariff tax on imported goods like construction materials.
The long-term consequences of Trump's trade war with our southern and northern neighbors make it much costlier to build new homes.
Apparently, they haven’t learned from Benjamin Franklin‘s experience in opposing a tyrant: “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.” (2/2)
The rule of law through our system of justice offers fundamental protection for our freedoms. As Trump attacks law firms that have represented his opponents or immigrants, too many are placing profits over their commitment to justice. (1/2)
All UT students lose when they lose the opportunity to interact with international students. America loses when those foreign students are denied exposure to American values, and our economy loses when some of the brightest students seek education elsewhere.
Globally, 8 million metric tons of plastic foam are produced each year; when not disposed of properly, it pollutes waterways, endangers wildlife, and degrades into microplastics invading our bloodstreams.
My bill with Senator Chris Van Hollen helps fix this in the US by saying 👋 Farewell to Foam.
Good to discuss the many challenges facing LiUNA Laborers with Jeremy Hendricks and Cassie Hammond.
Trump is always pretending to be on the side of working families while undermining their representation and consistently siding with his billionaire pals.
Conspiracy theories, lies, and sheer paranoia. After firing thousands of their colleagues without cause, RFK Jr. took his MAHA tour to the FDA with a mission to Make America Hopeless.
Website crashes and errors, cancelled appointments, phone service backlogs. The only thing efficient about DOGE is how quickly it undermines critical, efficient programs like Social Security.
Trump, Musk, and their Republican enablers need to get their #HandsOff this hard-earned benefit.
Sending warm wishes to everyone celebrating Passover.
May this be a peaceful and joyous holiday for you and your family. Chag Sameach!
Special government employees like Elon Musk are legally only allowed in their role for 130 days. Meaning by May 30, Musk is required by law to be dismissed.
With @repcasar.bsky.social, we’re declaring this unelected billionaire, who gained access to your most sensitive records, should be fired now.
In the name of so-called efficiency, Trump fired nearly 100 scientists tracking sexually transmitted diseases, antibiotic resistance, and other critical public health issues.
Our communities become less safe as DOGE infects our public health infrastructure.
Texas businesses and families are faced with enormous price increases from Trump’s tariffs while he continues to lie that tariffs are paid by foreign governments.
Whether you are a local business or consumer impacted by Trump’s tariff tax hike, share your story in the comments or contact my office.
Even a 10% tariff levy is still one of the largest tax hikes since World War II. It will lead to higher prices and slower growth, and poorer Americans will disproportionately pay for it.
The United States will suffer more from the ensuing trade war than any other major economy, other than Mexico.
