As Caroline told to me, "And why? To give tax cuts to the wealthy? It's not fair."

I met with Caroline from Fairmount earlier this week to talk about how the GOP's agenda will impact her family.
Her son has autism & is one of the thousands of Philly students affected by Trump/Musk's threats to cutting of critical education funding.
Because of the actions of billionaire donor Elon Musk and his DOGE cronies, Social Security benefits could be interrupted for the first time EVER.
Let's be clear- these mass firings and gutting of customer services are cuts to this EARNED benefit.

Today’s Democratic Daily Download recaps our Medicaid Day of Action. House Democrats joined Senators and Governors across the country to stand up against the Trump-endorsed Republican Budget that cuts Medicaid by $880 Billion.

No matter how much Republicans lie about protecting Medicaid, remember the facts:
🔴 Medicaid pays nearly 95% of payments properly.
🔴 Millions of dead people are not receiving payments.
🔴 Republicans need Medicaid cuts to make Trump's budget work.

@waysmeanscmte.bsky.social Democrats are calling on co-President/ billionaire donor Elon Musk to appear before our committee and answer questions on the actions of DOGE.
House Republicans talk about rooting out waste, fraud & abuse, so I think they should be all for this transparency!
Caroline’s son is just one of the 3.1 MILLION Pennsylvanians who rely on this critical program.
As the Trump-Musk administration continues pushing for the largest Medicaid cut in history, I am fighting back to protect access to affordable health care for ALL.
On this #MedicaidDayofAction, I met with Caroline, a mom from Fairmount whose son relies on Medicaid.
Caroline said it best: "My son is not waste. My son is not a fraud. And he is not an abuse of the systems that are trying to support him, so he can live a meaningful life."

“Without Medicaid, I could die.”
Medicaid is a lifeline. It's not a shortcut for Republicans to give handouts to billionaires. whyy.org/articles/del...
We also took a question from a constituent asking, what can everyday people do?
AG Jennings' and my answer: STAY ENGAGED!
Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings talked about the critical lawsuits happening across our country, pushing back against the Trump-Musk Administration.
"We sued and we're winning," she said. Take a listen below 👇🏾
I asked Gov. Shapiro about the impacts of GOP Medicaid cuts to our Commonwealth.
As the governor said: "If you go and cut Medicaid, you are harming Philadelphians. You are harming Pennsylvanians who are trying to get access to health care."
Thank you to Governor Shapiro, Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, and everyone who joined our last telephone town hall!
In case you missed it here are some highlights:
A thread 🧵
This “continuing resolution” (CR) is not a clean bill - it's a ransom note.
House Democrats are ready and willing to vote for a clean four-week CR- the Senate just needs to pass that instead!

Sweeping partial government shutdowns are ALREADY happening. So if @schumer.senate.gov won't listen to House Democrats, maybe he'll listen to Abraham Lincoln?
House Democrats held the line in a close vote on the GOP blank check bill. We’re ready to vote again if the Senate passes something better!
@schumer.senate.gov, you may ultimately fall short but people expect us to TRY, at least. What is the filibuster for, if not this?

We strongly oppose the partisan and harmful Republican spending bill.
