I joined @governorferguson.bsky.social and other elected leaders in WA to let Trump know we are united and ready to stand up for free speech.
As he continues to promote an authoritarian, militarized state, we are going to show him what peaceful protest and democracy look like.
The right to peaceful protest is fundamental in America, and it's how many of the great battles for justice have been fought.
So, as we continue our movement of resistance, let us be smart. Trump wants violence and confrontation. We cannot fall into their trap.

NEW: I started a podcast!
I’ll host honest, eye-opening conversations about how we can use our power to resist Trump, Republicans, & authoritarianism — all on The Power You Have.
First episode is out! Watch here or listen wherever you get your podcasts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ypsq...
Domestic workers are too often called essential, but treated as expendable.
Today, I’m introducing landmark legislation to ensure domestic workers get access to basic protections in the workplace — like overtime pay, breaks, and protections from harassment. Let’s get this done.
Stay tuned 👀
Resign now, Kristi Noem.
Republicans just voted to make Elon Musk’s cuts to public broadcasting and foreign aid permanent — an obvious sidestepping of court orders that have demanded Trump reinstate illegally gutted funding.
I voted NO. My full statement:
This is absolutely outrageous. This is a US Senator — full stop. To treat him like this is beyond the pale and the mark of an authoritarian regime.
If they can do this to a sitting Senator, just think about what they can do to you. Absolutely no one should be treated this way.
Trump has ordered his Republican minions in the House to codify Elon Musk’s illegal DOGE cuts into law because the courts kept blocking them.
My response? HELL NO.
As we’ve been saying: Republicans’ big, bad betrayal of a budget bill hurts poor and working people while helping the wealthiest 1%.
Breadcrumbs for us, gold bars for them.
Trump wants to distract you from the fact that he is putting in place an authoritarian power grab while trying to kick millions of Americans off of health care so that billionaires can get a tax break.
But we won’t look away.
Step 1: Trump creates a problem
Step 2: Blames it on Joe Biden, who isn’t even president
Step 3: Posts a rant about his solution — which doesn’t actually offer a solution
Yes, our country and economy rely on immigrants. How is he just figuring that out?
So much of “gender affirming care” is COUNSELING — counseling that literally saves lives.
And Republicans want to get in the way of that care and not let parents and children make their own private decisions.
Absolutely outrageous.
Medicaid pays for 60% of births in Mike Johnson’s home state of Louisiana — yet he voted to cut Medicaid.
If you’re not voted into office to defend the health and wellbeing of your constituents, what the hell are you there for?
Jerce Reyes Barrios. Andry José Hernández Romero. Frengel Reyes.
All kidnapped and disappeared by the Trump administration without any due process.
And if he can get away with doing this to them with zero evidence, he can do it to anyone — including you.
LA protests. Trump’s birthday parade. Kilmar’s return to the US.
Here are 3 bad things and 3 good things you need to know from the past week to stay informed and keep up your resistance!
Trump is putting Big Oil polluters over Americans, repealing standards that cut pollution from power plants.
He’s making our air dirtier and putting your health at risk. This is a giveaway to his billionaire buddies that will cost thousands of lives.

Republicans claim to be the party of “limited government” but now they’re pushing their way into our doctors' offices. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Stop it. Let parents and families make their own medical decisions.
The United States spends billions of dollars on ICE detention centers each year — most of which are privately owned.
We are making it profitable to illegally and unconstitutionally detain immigrants who have been convicted of no crimes and are just waiting for hearings.
For 13 years, DACA has allowed hundreds of thousands of Dreamers to come out of the shadows and pursue higher education, start careers, and live freely in the only country that most of them have ever known.
I will never stop fighting for Dreamers and all immigrants. #HomeIsHere
