Trump's attack on NIH funding is a reckless attack on science, innovation, and the people who depend on them. It will gut critical research, kill jobs, and put lives at risk—especially in the #MA7, a global hub for cutting-edge research. My full statement:
“This is a reckless attack on science, innovation, and the generations of people who stand to benefit from NIH investments in our collective public health. As a global hub for higher education and cutting-edge research, this will be especially harmful for the Massachusetts 7th and will quite literally rob people of their lives, threaten thousands of jobs, and curtail the progress we’ve made in improving health outcomes.

"My team and I are talking to hospitals and institutions that stand to be impacted imminently here in the Massachusetts 7th. I can’t emphasize enough the harm this would cause and urge the Administration to immediately change course.”

📢 Konnen Dwa w yo: Kominote atravè peyi a ap fè fas ak laperèz ak menas balewouze imigrasyon. Pou vwazen ak fanmi imigran nou yo, mwen vrèman dezole paske w ap fè fas ak mechanste sible sa a, epi biwo nou an la kòm yon resous.

-Fè yon moun nan fanmi w ou fè konfyans konnen kikote pou jwenn yo.
-Fè fanmi w konnen sa pou yo fè si ajan Ajans Imigrasyon ak Ladwann (ICE) yo arete oumenm oswa yon moun nan fanmi w.
-Bay lekòl pitit ou a yon lis granmoun ou fè konfyans, ki kapab vin chèche timoun ou an si ajan ICE yo arete w.
-Kontakte yon avoka ki espesyalize nan imigrasyon.
Kisa w dwe fè si ajan ICE yo vin frape pòt kay ou?

-Pa ouvri pòt la si yo pa vin ak yon manda valid yon jij siyen.
-Rete an silans! Ou gen dwa pou w pa di anyen.
-Asire w tout moun ki nan kay la rete byen kalm, epi pou yo pa eseye fè anyen kont entèvansyon ajan ICE yo.
-Pa siyen anyen san w pa pale ak yon avoka.
-Rele avoka w oswa rele nan (617) 988-0606 pou mande yon èd jiridik.
Kisa ki ap rive si ajan ICE yo vini kote w ap travay la?

-Pa bay fo dokiman epi pa mache ak fo dokiman sou ou.
-Pa eseye fè anyen kont entèvansyon ajan ICE yo.
-Di yo ou vle pale avèk avoka w, epi pa siyen anyen san w pa pale avèk yon avoka
-Kenbe nimewo enpòtan yo sou ou.
-Si ICE arete w kote w ap travay la epi w gen timoun lakay ou, asire w ou fè ajan ICE yo konn sa.
Musk & Trump are purging non-partisan civil servants, gutting DEI, & firing those who conduct govt oversight. By installing loyalists, silencing dissent, & dismantling our agencies, they’re laying the groundwork for corruption & authoritarianism. We must & we will fight back.
The CFPB has returned billions of dollars to consumers by cracking down on predatory lending, junk fees, medical debt, and more. Now, Trump's appointee is halting the bureau's work. He's never given a damn about protecting consumers, and this is just the latest reminder of that.
President Donald Trump on Monday appointed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as the acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a powerful watchdog agency whose operations Bessent immediately halted pending a review.
Trump is letting an unelected, unaccountable billionaire raid your most sensitive financial information. And Democrats are fighting back. Our bill would protect your personal data and help stop Elon Musk's unlawful takeover of our government. abcnews.go.com/Politics/hou...
“I'm so tired of these billionaire boys and their grubby little hands grabbing at everything,” @pressley.house.gov told protestors outside Treasury last night. “Hands off our data. Hands off our tax refunds. Hands off our SS checks. Hands off our Constitution. Hands off our democracy. HANDS. OFF!”
Suggesting the ethnic cleaning & permanent displacement of Palestinians from Gaza is disgusting & unacceptable, Trump. This is a genocide & we should be focused on rebuilding and restoring peace. NOT contributing to the trauma, death, and destruction of the Palestinian people.
“The only tired I was, was tired of giving in.” As we celebrate Rosa Parks’ 112th birthday, I'm grateful #TransitEquityDay was established to honor her birthday and her role in transit justice & policy. That means investing in sustainable, accessible transit systems as the public good they are.
A photo of Rosa Parks sitting in a bus.
I'm glad a judge has blocked Trump's harmful and unlawful freeze on federal spending. And when Republicans try again to rip away essential resources, we'll fight back once again. We'll meet them in the courts, in Congress, and right in our communities. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/03/u...
