The White House is letting 42 million Americans go hungry, while they have money and a plan to continue payments during the shutdown.
I support @governor.pa.gov's decision to join 24 other states' lawsuit to use its contingency funds so ~2 million Pennsylvanians don't go hungry.
Americans won't have access to SNAP Benefits because the White House won't use rainy day funds for:
16 million children
8 million seniors
4 million people with disabilities
Special Counsel Jack Smith has nothing to hide from the American people.
Chairman Jim Jordan should join @democrats-judiciary.house.gov and allow him to testify in front of the American public.
Why are they afraid of the truth coming out?
We are on the cliff of a Republican created healthcare crisis, which will force millions of Americans to go without healthcare.
Listen to my entire conversation with @womeninamerica.bsky.social here:
No White House has chosen to block SNAP benefits and let kids go hungry during a shutdown.
Until now.
The Trump administration can fund SNAP through November with previously approved funding from Congress, but it is choosing not to.
Speaker Johnson has neutered Congress, while the White House chooses to inflict pain and hunger on 42 million Americans, including seniors, veterans, and children.
We mourn the innocent lives lost, and commit ourselves both to rejecting hatred and bigotry and to working to end the scourge of gun violence in our country.
It has been seven years since the tragic antisemitic attack at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, which sent shock and terror across our region and the entire nation.
@houserepublicans.bsky.social's refusal to extend ACA tax credits will cause an extra 8,811 PREVENTABLE DEATHS in America each year, IN ADDITION to 42,500 annual deaths caused by the DC Republicans' cuts to Medicaid and SNAP.
Democrats are fighting to protect Americans' health care.
Over 40 million Americans are at risk of losing SNAP benefits on November 1st.
By not spending money already allocated, the Trump administration is using Americans’ hunger as political leverage.
If you want to help your community, consider donating to a local food pantry.
We’re seeing masked and armed ICE agents detaining children and American citizens on their way to work and school.
The Trump administration is bringing chaos, lawlessness, and fear to Chicago.
A lapse in funding on Nov. 1 would be devastating for over a million Pennsylvanians who rely on SNAP.
I'm joining 213 of my House Democratic colleagues to demand that @usdagov.bsky.social take all possible actions to ensure that 42 million Americans, including children & seniors, don’t go hungry.

The White House is lying to the American people when it says:
- our cities are war zones and the military should be sent in
- it is making our country safer by deploying armed forces to American cities
- it is targeting armed and dangerous undocumented immigrants
Americans should be concerned that this abuse of power and lawlessness could come to their city or town next.
Federal agents have detained children, including American citizens, deployed tear gas near elementary schools, and zip-tied children snatched from their beds at night.
Feds have arrested high school students and tear-gassed protestors even after a court order to stop.
Masked and armed federal agents have brought widespread fear, chaos, and lawlessness to Chicago.

I’m in Chicago, hosting a shadow hearing on Trump’s unlawful immigration actions.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
