Sonoma residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours Wednesday, June 11th, from 4 to 6pm. Please drop in to discuss with my team any support you may need and stay tuned for more sessions throughout our district.
June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. Proud to co-chair the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus and lead the Mental Health Research Accelerator Act, which would allocate $10 billion to fund research into the root causes of mental illness. It’s time we treat mental health like health.
Congressional Republicans are trying to kill my clean energy tax credits—even though 77 percent of the factories benefiting are in their own districts. These investments bring jobs, boost U.S. manufacturing, and keep us competitive. www.axios.com/2025/06/04/i...
Every day, 100 Americans are killed by someone using a gun. That’s why I joined my colleagues on the steps of the Capitol today to #WearOrange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day and recommit to our work to end the gun violence epidemic.
The CBO has analyzed the bill and come to the same conclusion as the Tax Foundation, the Penn-Wharton Budget Model, the Manhattan Institute and the Center for American Progress: This bill adds trillions to our debt and cuts healthcare for nearly 16 million people.
Read more for yourself. (3/3)
FACT: The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is nonpartisan and is led by a former Bush Administration official. (2/3)
#FactCheckFriday Speaker Johnson claims that the Congressional Budget Office’s report on the President and Congressional Republicans’ “big, beautiful” bill is partisan and inaccurate. (1/3)
Our neighbors to the North are critical trading partners and I remain committed to protecting and expanding our trading relationship. I proudly accept his award on behalf of our district.
Canada is the United States’ #1 customer, buying more goods from the U.S. than China, Japan, France, and the U.K combined. Our district alone exports over $645 million in goods to Canada each year, supporting 4,700 local jobs.
“Disgusting abomination”
That’s what Elon Musk is now calling the President and Congressional Republicans’ bill slashing health care for 16 million Americans and adding $5 trillion to our national debt.
Make no mistake: These actions are making our veterans, their families, and the American people worse off.
The President has fired thousands of veterans and VA staff, taken a sledgehammer to the PACT Act serving vets exposed to toxic substances, and canceled hundreds of contracts for programs supporting veterans’ mental health and addressing veteran homelessness.
Traveled to Virginia to shed light on the President’s abysmal treatment of veterans.

Republicans' one big, ugly bill slashes health care for 16 million people, cuts nutrition assistance for 11 million people, and hands tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @mikethompson.house.gov shares how Democrats are fighting it every step of the way.
It’s time we ensure universal background checks for all gun purchases, so we can save even more lives.
Media are now reporting that the attacker in the horrific antisemitic attack in Boulder, Colorado was planning a mass shooting but was denied a gun after failing a background check.

Now, DOGE is admitting they lied about saving $1 trillion for taxpayers and now claim only $175 billion of unproven savings and charged no one with fraud. They're leaving Americans worse off.
In their campaign against waste, fraud, and abuse the President and Elon Musk only managed to create waste, cut critical services and increase red tape. Most Americans don't think cancer treatment or serving our veterans is wasteful, yet they got the axe.

Joined my colleagues on the Steering & Policy Committee today as Democrats travel across our country to testify to the harm this administration is inflicting upon our nation’s veterans. Watch the livestream of our forum in Norfolk, Virginia below.

Hate has no place here and I continue to stand with our Jewish community and urge that all remaining hostages be released.
