By the end, he will have undermined every citizen’s right to vote — Democrat, Republican, or Unaffiliated. This attack on our elections is one in which every American should fight. We Coloradans, who have the gold-standard election system, will fight this tooth and nail.
This day honors the United Farm Workers labor movement and has always been larger than one man. We must continue to stand with the workers, families, and communities that the UFW movement was built to protect.
Today, Denver celebrates Si Se Puede Day, and all of Colorado celebrates the newly named Farm Workers Day. This day belongs to immigrants, farm workers, and those who refused to stop fighting for dignity, justice, and the labor rights they're owed.
As Colorado works hard to protect our LGBTQ+ community, the Supreme Court’s decision on conversion therapy is extremely disappointing. The facts are simple: Conversion therapy is harmful and no Coloradan should be forced to change who they are.
This week, I introduced a bipartisan bill to demand accountability on stalled U.S. arms sales to Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines. These delays undermine our decades-long commitment to Indo-Pacific security. My bill will clearly identify what the Pentagon must do to close this gap.
For over a month, Democrats fought to pay TSA, FEMA & Coast Guard workers. Republicans blocked every attempt — until airports descended into chaos. This deal doesn't go far enough, but it ensures federal workers get paid and airports stay open — without any funds for ICE or CBP.
With this week's unanimous vote by the House Ways and Means Committee, we are one step closer to ensuring all educators, especially those who teach our youngest children, can deduct these school supply costs.
As a former school superintendent, I saw firsthand how educators spend their own money to give kids what they need to succeed in the classroom. That's why I introduced the bipartisan SEED Act to help early childhood educators cover the cost of supplies, books, and other classroom materials.
This week, a jury confirmed what Colorado parents already know — Meta and Alphabet should be held accountable for deliberately designing platforms to addict children and exploit their attention for profit.
I appreciate Colorado water utilities who are taking proactive steps to manage our water supplies in the face of unprecedented high temperatures and record low snowpack this spring. I’d encourage Coloradans to make sure you’re up to speed on the latest guidance from your local utility.
President Trump's unauthorized war with Iran has spiked oil prices – forcing Coloradans to choose between a full tank and groceries for their families. Since Trump launched his war, Colorado gas prices are up nearly 35%, outpacing the national average and the biggest hike in 25 years.
I'm grateful that Dennis Coyle will be coming home after the Taliban wrongfully detained him for more than a year in Afghanistan. Dennis is a native of Pueblo, Colorado who dedicated over 20 years of his life to improving the lives of the Afghan people.
