The Trump Administration's continued weaponization of hunger as a political tool is nothing short of cruel.
The administration is once again trying to take food away from Colorado families and punish our state for protecting people’s privacy - we won’t allow that to happen.
Minority-Serving Institutions in Colorado give students from rural and low-income backgrounds the opportunity to build a future with economic security.
That’s why I’m demanding answers on the Trump Admin’s decision to cut off grants to these schools and the effects on their students.
“As a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, I am alarmed by reports that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. military to ‘kill everybody’ on an alleged drug vessel in the Caribbean.”
Read my full statement on the reports concerning U.S. strikes in the Caribbean:
No one in detention should be cut off from their lawyer or their family.
That’s why I introduced the Restoring Access to Detainees Act, because access to legal counsel and communication with family are basic rights & essential to due process.
This bill brings needed accountability to ICE and CBP.
For decades, Colorado has been home to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory - a global leader in renewable energy innovation.
Under its new name, the Lab must continue its groundbreaking work to achieve an affordable, net-zero economy and meet our nation’s complex energy challenges.
President Trump has once again done a disservice to our country on the world stage by disregarding our progress and disrespecting the millions who’ve lost their lives to HIV & AIDS in Colorado and around the world.
The U.S. must not shy away from creating a world free from these illnesses.
Colorado continues to see robust investments from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
I’m glad to have helped secure this $60 million in funding so that our state can build on its efforts to create healthier communities with cleaner and safer public transportation.
That’s why I’m pushing the Trump Administration not to backtrack on the progress we’ve made to protect our public lands, local communities, and public safety.

For years, I have fought to hold oil and gas companies accountable and ensure they, not taxpayers, cover the costs of cleaning up wells drilled on federal lands.

161 years ago, U.S. soldiers killed a generation of Cheyenne and Arapahoe people in the horrific Sand Creek Massacre.
As we recognize those who were lost in this violent tragedy, we must never forget this dark moment in Colorado’s history, nor the wound these communities carry to this day.
This Native American Heritage Day, as we honor the history and contributions of Indigenous cultures, we must reaffirm our commitment to uplifting the voices of Indigenous peoples in Colorado and nationwide.
Happy Thanksgiving, Colorado, from my family to yours!
I’m grateful every day to represent the most beautiful state in the country and see the unwavering strength of Coloradans.
I hope everyone has a safe and festive holiday with their loved ones. 🦃
I am saddened to hear about the shooting that took place near the White House. My thoughts are with the National Guard members who were wounded and their families.
Thank you to the law enforcement officers for their swift response.
I will continue to closely monitor the situation as it develops.
The U.S. must stand firm with our allies to demand that Putin end his war of aggression against Ukraine. (2/2)
It is ridiculous that President Trump’s envoy continues to favor Putin’s Potemkin peace plans – including by coaching his Russian counterparts on how to get what they want from the U.S. President.
This is not peace through strength. (1/2)
President Trump's incoherent tariff policies have raised prices and increased uncertainty, putting a strain on small business owners across Colorado.
As many head into their busiest time of year, Trump’s tariffs will continue dragging them and our economy down if he doesn’t reverse course.
I'm glad to have helped secure over $60 million in funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to help communities across Colorado invest in zero- or low-emission buses and bus infrastructure.
This funding will build on our work to help make Colorado's public transit system cleaner.
Federal law requires furloughed workers be granted backpay.
Seasonal employees across our national parks were asked to stay available during the federal government shutdown. It is not only against the law to refuse to pay them, it is cruel.
We must continue fighting to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed in school and build their future. (2/2)
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, a landmark civil rights law that guarantees all students have equal access to education. (1/2)
