Six years ago, George Floyd was murdered. His death forced Americans across our nation to reckon with truths about race and with what too many Black and Brown communities have experienced for generations: that the systems meant to protect and serve people have too often failed them.
We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the enduring obligation we all share to remain true to the ideals they defended.
This Memorial Day, we honor the more than 6,000 Coloradans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. When America and our allies needed them, they answered the call — leaving behind the mountains, plains, and communities they loved to defend freedom around the world.
Today, we remember the brave Americans who served our country, especially as we mark two milestones this year: 150 years of Colorado statehood and 250 years of the United States of America.
Secretary of Defense Hegseth must immediately release Congressionally appropriated funds for Ukraine and our Baltic allies. I’m joining bipartisan colleagues to demand it.
Withholding these funds signals weakness to Putin — not peace through strength.

These brave Americans served for something greater than themselves, fighting for a nation striving to live up to its highest ideals.
This Memorial Day weekend, I joined Gold Star families, veterans, and service members at the Colorado Freedom Memorial to honor over 6,000 Coloradans who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
This is a big day for one of the most important water conservation efforts in our state’s history.
Read my statement on welcoming $40 million in Shoshone Permanency Project funding after years of hard work with local leaders across the Western Slope ⬇️
President Trump is amassing a $1.8 billion slush fund to funnel taxpayer dollars into his MAGA loyalists –
including the January 6th rioters and CO’s top election denier Tina Peters.
I am fighting tooth and nail to stop Trump’s cronies and election deniers from cashing in on taxpayer dollars.
Even members of his own party can’t stomach his abuse of taxpayer dollars.
Trump's slush fund shouldn't exist. Taxpayer dollars should never go to pay out Trump's political allies or convicted criminals like Tina Peters.
First, Trump tried to make taxpayers pay for his $1 billion White House ballroom. Now it's his $1.8 billion slush fund for his cronies. It's no wonder Republicans’ plans to hand ICE another $80 billion have been thrown into chaos.
Cargill plays a vital role in Colorado’s economy and communities, made possible by the people who work there.
I stand with Teamsters Local 455 and urge both parties to return to the table to come to a mutually satisfactory agreement.
As I've said before, this Administration must immediately reinstate these sanctions and use every available tool to cut Russia's war profits.
Coloradans are now paying over 60% more for gas than before President Trump launched his reckless war with Iran.
Trump has since repeatedly paused sanctions on Russian oil — which has not lowered prices for American families, but has bankrolled Putin's war in Ukraine.
Our bill to support rural hospitals in Delta, Montrose, Glenwood Springs, and San Luis Valley unanimously passed the Senate.
I urge my colleagues in the House to act quickly to ensure our rural communities maintain this critical lifeline.
Today, I am leading legislation to reauthorize the Rural Community Hospital Demonstration Program: a lifeline for Colorado’s rural hospitals, providers, and the 800K Coloradans who depend on them for health care.

I'm fighting to protect our families and prevent children from being detained, stop ICE officers from hiding behind face masks, and demand transparency and oversight in detention centers.
Today, I introduced critical DHS and ICE reforms to rein in President Trump's lawlessness and ensure accountability in our communities.
Last night, I spoke to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about President Trump’s new slushfund of $1.8 billion in taxpayer dollars to pay off his cronies.
We can't stand by while he undermines our rule of law and our Constitution.
We honor their legacies through our continued fight to create real opportunity for every student in America. Their work remains unfinished and the fight continues.
Today marks 72 years since Brown v. Board of Education, a hard-won victory by civil rights leaders who refused to accept "separate but equal."
