Richard Blumenthal

Richard Blumenthal is an American politician and attorney serving as the senior United States senator from the state of Connecticut. A member of the Democratic Party, he has been a member of the Senate since 2011. Blumenthal previously served as U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut, as a member of the Connecticut General Assembly, and as the 23rd Connecticut attorney general.

We can make a bipartisan deal on transfers, eligibility, NIL, safety & protecting women’s & Olympic sports. But the NCAA needs to stop playing games with phony Executive Orders & partisan bills, & instead come to the table & negotiate.
Prediction markets are unlawfully disregarding CT gambling laws, driving up addiction, youth gambling, & fraud. Kalshi & the CFTC might scheme & sue, but I look forward to CT beating this lawsuit.
The CT Workforce Summit brought together innovative leaders from the business industry—dedicated to not just creating careers for CT workers, but fostering educational & lifelong opportunities.
This war of impulse & illusion is plagued by confused, chaotic, & contradictory objectives—none seem to have been achieved. The continued dangers of escalation are sustained by bombing & increasing troop presence. 4/
Every year, I visit the CT Agricultural Experiment Station to talk about ticks & diseases they carry—because every year they’re a public health menace. This year, I announced a CDS grant of $267K to support the fight year-round & statewide.
