Republicans can’t defend their shutdown or skipping negotiations. They won’t admit why Democrats refuse to wait on health care tax credits: ACA coverage enrollment opens Nov. 1. Families choosing insurance must know now if they’ll lose credits & be forced to choose between healthcare, rent or food.
Republicans can’t defend this shutdown, so they’re lying about our plan to reopen and protect health care. Fact: Undocumented immigrants don’t get the tax credits we’re fighting for or comprehensive Medicaid. Check the links for the facts: bit.ly/4o1gAhp | bit.ly/4pRzmti | bit.ly/46SpC9G
Please see my statement denouncing recent acts of antisemitism at home and abroad.
This month and year-round we celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities that strengthen our nation every day. As the dignity of our Hispanic neighbors faces increasing attacks, we can honor them by standing up for justice, respect, & opportunity for all.
Republicans’ funding plan puts cancer care at risk by raising health insurance premiums. This week, Catharyne, an oncology nurse at Wexner Medical Center, shared how Republican cuts and costs heighten financial barriers for her patients. Listen in: http://bit.ly/4nw280S
Republicans inflicted reckless cuts, raised costs & shut down the government instead of protecting health care. I stood with colleagues, patients & advocates sharing powerful impact stories. Democrats will keep fighting to stop cuts, lower costs & save health care until every day Americans prevail.
Republicans blocked the extension of vital health care tax credits—spiking insurance premiums in the Affordable Care Act marketplace, shutting down government. Click http://bit.ly/3Irq32z to calculate YOUR premium increase. Democrats are fighting to keep care affordable AND reopen the government.
As sunset approaches, I wish all who observe a peaceful Yom Kippur, filled with reflection, forgiveness, and healing.
Republicans shut down YOUR government and raised YOUR health care costs. Democrats are fighting to reopen government AND… Stop the Cuts, Lower the Costs, Save Health Care. We’re choosing YOU, while Republicans choose higher costs. See my statement on Trump's 2nd shutdown👉🏽 : http://bit.ly/46LIRBH
At midnight, Republicans shut YOUR government down instead of protecting YOUR health care. They left town, choosing higher costs for Americans. Democrats stayed in D.C. — choosing YOU: fighting to stop cuts, lower costs, and save health care.
Earlier today on the House Floor I called out Republicans for vacationing while Democrats fight for Ohio families. Without ACA credits, premiums will soar—$670 more for many, $16,962 more for others. We can stop the cuts, lower costs, save health care AND fund the government.
LIVE NOW AND THE REST OF THE DAY: Hear the truth about the looming Republican shutdown. Health care experts & House Democrats explain why extending health care coverage credits is vital to keep care affordable, and why Democrats are fighting to keep government open. https://bit.ly/473RrwM
Last night I joined the @DemWomenCaucus “Ask Us Anything” livestream to talk about the threat of a Republican shutdown. Our conversation focused on protecting your health care. Democrats are working to keep the government open and make sure care stays affordable. For more👉🏽: https://bit.ly/3WfYEUh
Without action, Affordable Care Act health care premiums soar in Jan. ACA credits keep insurance costs lower, and Democrats are fighting to extend them. Today Team Beatty shared what’s at stake during Mobile Office Hours. See what losing ACA credits could cost YOU 👉🏽 : https://bit.ly/3Qk16X5
Solving America’s housing crisis takes a collaborative, whole-of-government approach. I'm co-sponsoring bipartisan legislation with @RepDeLaCruz requiring HUD, USDA & VA to share housing data to accelerate affordable housing solutions.. Read more here: https://t.co/acl4egWFgD
Happy Rosh Hashanah! 🍎🍯 Wishing all who celebrate this holiday a sweet, joyful, and prosperous new year. May this season bring peace, reflection, and fresh beginnings. Shanah Tovah! ✨
On the Capitol steps with my Democratic colleagues standing against the cruel and costly Republican funding bill, that fails to protect health care for everyday Americans. We refuse to bend the knee to Trump’s billionaire buddies for yet another reckless Republican assault on health care.
I enjoyed spending time with our Fall 2025 DC Interns, exploring the Capitol and hearing about their professional aspirations. Raising our next generation of political leaders, is one of my favorite parts of the job. Thank you, Fall interns, for everything you do to advance our democracy!
Republicans are ready to let health care tax credits expire, driving up costs for families. If these credits matter to you, now is the time to speak up. In the meantime, Democrats are fighting to protect them as we look to fund the government.
