Veterans fought to defend our freedoms. They should not have to fight again for their health care. Veterans deserve the right to make personal decisions about their health without interference from any politicians.

Make no mistake: Donald Trump and his extremist allies are using women veterans to advance an anti-choice, anti-women agenda and inch us closer to a national abortion ban.
The Trump administration’s attempt to reinstate a near-total abortion ban at VA – even in cases of rape, incest, or health-threatening complications – is not only egregious and wrong, it is profoundly dangerous. It puts women veterans’ health, their freedom, and their lives at risk.

To help students and families learn more about the academies and the Congressional nomination process, I’m hosting a series of Service Academy Information Nights across #VenturaCounty and the Conejo Valley.
Every year, I have the privilege of nominating students from our district to attend one of our nation’s five prestigious U.S. Service Academies.

Thank you, Planned Parenthood.
We will continue fighting so that you can provide lifesaving health care to women across the country.
This Labor Day, we celebrate America’s workers, honor the power of solidarity, and recommit to building opportunity for us all.
Yet today, working people face attacks from all sides, including corporate efforts to stifle organizing, threats to good-paying jobs, and an administration that sides with the wealthy over working families while doing nothing to bring down rising costs. But American workers have never backed down.
For generations and because of their unwavering fight, organized labor has strengthened the middle class, built a fairer economy, and lifted up all Americans.
America’s strength has always been its workers, and I’m proud to stand with our working families. From farmworkers to teachers to manufacturers, American workers keep our communities and our country moving forward.
Today and every day, we honor the legacies of the civil rights leaders who led this march, and we remain committed to building an America that fulfills its highest ideals.
While Dr. King’s challenge for our nation to fully live up to the promises of the Constitution remains unmet, we must carry forward their fight.
Today marks the 62nd anniversary of the historic March on Washington — a moment that continues to inspire generations to fight for justice, equality, and civil rights.
We cannot and must not accept this as our normal. We cannot allow weapons of war to keep terrorizing our schools and communities. Congress has the responsibility to act, and we must act now.
