Today, we celebrate the incredible educators across Ventura County, the Conejo Valley, and around the world who have dedicated themselves to inspiring, guiding, educating, and empowering the dreamers and doers of tomorrow and the minds that will shape our future.
Tens of millions of Americans count on Medicaid and SNAP to feed their families and get the health care they need. Protecting them should be a bipartisan issue. If House Republicans truly believe in protecting these essential programs, this is their chance to prove it.
BREAKING: The Republican budget would make the largest cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in American history. Ranking Member @congressmanboyle.bsky.social just introduced a discharge petition that — if just a few House Republicans sign — will force a vote to protect Medicaid and SNAP.
Indigenous women and girls experience the highest rates of violence in the United States, including domestic violence and sexual assault. Too often, their cases go unreported, uninvestigated, or unresolved, falling through the cracks of a justice system that has long failed them.
This budget turns its back on our core values, from scientific progress and innovation to the right to an education and access to healthcare. It abandons the fundamental belief that government should work for the people, not against them.
It tears teachers and resources out of classrooms, medicine out of clinics, meals off the tables of kids and seniors, and housing away from families struggling to stay afloat – all to bankroll a government that protects the powerful and punishes everyone else.
Trump’s tax bill is a good deal for billionaires. But for the middle class? It’s loaded up with cuts to healthcare, SNAP and other essential programs—all to pay for tax cuts for people at the very top.   Today, @magaziner.house.gov highlights how the Republican Budget Bill hurts working people.
Hegseth’s reckless disregard for security protocols is more than a lapse in judgment. It’s a serious threat to national security and the safety of our servicemembers. Instead of holding him accountable, Trump is deflecting blame and protecting his inner circle.
This is not a move to take responsibility, but to cover up for Pete Hegseth's dangerous mishandling of classified military information, all while handing Waltz a cushy ambassadorship to the United Nations. This is not accountability – it’s political theatre.
