RFK Jr.’s claims about mRNA vaccines are not grounded in science.
Vaccines developed using mRNA technology saved millions of lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I was proud to vote for the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to help restore and strengthen the rights John and so many others sacrificed so much for.
Congress must finish that work.
In 2019, Janine and I walked across that same bridge with him.
It was a powerful reminder of the courage it took to move our country forward and why we can never take that freedom for granted.
I’m thinking of my friend John Lewis today on the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act.
John was severely beaten by state troopers on the Edmund Pettus Bridge for marching for the right to vote. Those harrowing images shocked the nation and helped lead to the passage of the Voting Rights Act.
One of the best ways to do that is to build more housing and businesses near public transit.
Doing so helps reduce traffic, expand access to economic opportunity, and build a more livable and accessible future.
Great meeting with Sacramento Regional Transit District to discuss how we can grow ridership and better connect communities across Sacramento County.
A special thank you to the dedicated members of U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento for your unwavering commitment to saving lives and supporting critical missions across California and the West Coast.
We’re proud to have you based right here in Sacramento County.
For 235 years, the brave men and women of the United States Coast Guard have protected our shores, saved lives, and served our nation with honor.
Happy Birthday, President Obama!
Your leadership—grounded in facts, integrity, and decency—is missed every day.

Americans rely on Bureau of Labor Statistics data to make decisions about hiring, spending, and investing.
Firing the head of BLS because President Trump doesn’t like the numbers in today’s jobs report is unacceptable.
Undermining confidence in this historically nonpartisan, apolitical data will inflict lasting damage on our economy and the credibility of our nation on the world stage.

Today marks the 60th anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid.
As a doctor, I’ve seen firsthand how these programs have helped millions of hardworking families, children, and seniors get the care they need. 🧵
We must continue to build on that legacy—not walk away from it. That starts with reversing these harmful Republican cuts and protecting these vital programs for generations to come.
When President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare and Medicaid into law, he sought to ensure that older Americans and those living in poverty could access care without going bankrupt or being turned away.
That’s why I strongly opposed—and voted against—the bill passed by Congressional Republicans and signed by President Trump that strips health care from more than 15 million Americans, slashes Medicare funding, and puts patients at risk.

We’ve seen masked ICE agents randomly approach people who look like me.
That’s racial profiling — and it is unacceptable.
That's why I'm co-sponsoring a bill that would ban ICE agents from wearing masks and require them to display clear identification during immigration raids.
