We built a foreign aid system that supported American farmers, fed the world, and saved millions of lives — all for just 1% of the federal budget.
I'm damn proud of that legacy.
What Trump is doing to dismantle it is a shameful betrayal of the values that make America great.

“From the American people” isn’t just a slogan—it’s a powerful signal of our values.

I just signed on to Congressman Marc Veasey's resolution demanding that President Trump and Attorney General Bondi immediately release all unclassified files, flight logs, correspondence, and evidence pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.
The American people deserve answers.

I’ve worked closely with the dedicated professionals at the State Department. These are patriots who have spent their careers serving our nation and keeping us safe.

Shelter is essential. Until folks have a safe place to sleep, it’s hard for them to start putting their lives back together. 🧵

I’ll continue working to lead that fight.
This project, led by Hope Cooperative and Excelerate Housing Group, shows what’s possible when partners at the federal, state, and local levels come together to invest in affordable housing and mental health services.
That’s exactly what Northview Pointe in Natomas is providing—66 furnished studio units for previously homeless individuals, along with on-site behavioral health support, case management, and community programming.

We’re losing trusted experts at a time when we need them most.
These cuts weaken our ability to respond to crises, support our allies, and protect our national interests.

The devastating cuts in President Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill” put food assistance at risk for thousands of Sacramento County residents—including seniors.
I met with the team at Meals on Wheels to discuss how we can work together to ensure no senior in our community goes hungry.
