When I became a doctor, I swore an oath to do no harm.
From day one, RFK Jr. has done harm — undermining science, public health, and trust in vaccines.
That’s why I’m demanding his resignation as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

A partial list of politicians and organizations that have called for RFK Jr to resign
RFK Jr. pledged to follow the science on vaccines.
His actions as HHS Secretary have repeatedly contradicted that pledge— putting the health of every American at risk.
He must resign.
RFK Jr. is a threat to the health of the American public.
His tenure as Health and Human Services Secretary cannot continue.
I’m joining my House and Senate colleagues this morning to demand his resignation.
I just signed the discharge petition to release the Epstein files.
The American people deserve the truth — and the victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes deserve justice and accountability.
NEWS: The House voted to pass the bipartisan Uyghur Policy Act, which I led with Rep. Young Kim and @meeks.house.gov.
Tonight’s vote sends a clear message: the United States stands with the Uyghur people and other ethnic minorities persecuted by the PRC.
ICYMI: Nine former directors of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued this sobering warning about the danger RFK Jr. presents to the health and well-being of all Americans.
I applaud them for stepping up and speaking out.

Happy Labor Day to the hardworking men and women of Sacramento County!
Thank you for all you do to keep our community strong.
I hope you're enjoying a restful and well-deserved holiday!

There are many Democrats and health-care workers — and @bera.house.gov is both — who are alarmed by RFK Jr’s moves and strategizing on how to stop him.
I spoke to Rep. Bera for our story today.

As a doctor, I am disturbed by what RFK Jr. is doing to America’s public health system.
It is time for medical associations, Republican doctors, and all who believe in science to step up and speak out about the lack of science behind these moves.
ACIP has been the gold standard on vaccine guidance for over 60 years.
Their work must be guided by data and evidence — not ideology.
We must protect the integrity of this process and ensure these critical decisions remain rooted in science.

What’s happening at the CDC is chilling.
RFK Jr. is driving out dedicated public health experts because they refuse to rubber-stamp his dangerous views on vaccines.
CDC WRAPUP: A White House spokesman emailed me at 9:30 p.m. to say that Susan Monarez, the CDC director, has been fired.
This came after days of back-and-forth in which RFK Jr. tried to force her out and she refused. 4 other top CDC officials have quit.

We must fight back against the continued politicization of our public health institutions.
These experts are our first line of defense against outbreaks and emerging threats.
Their resignations make clear that they are no longer being allowed to do their jobs to protect the health and safety of the American people.

Our hearts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Minneapolis community as they grieve this horrific tragedy.
Janine and I are heartbroken and angered by today’s mass shooting in Minneapolis.
Schools should be safe places where kids can learn and grow.
Parents should never have to worry about whether their child will come home at the end of the day.

Reports that individuals held in ICE detention at the John Moss Federal Building in Sacramento are being denied safe sleeping space, adequate food and water, sanitation, and ventilation are deeply disturbing.
I’m joining @dorismatsui.bsky.social and local leaders to demand answers.
Your family’s economic security and hard-earned retirement savings depend on a Federal Reserve that makes decisions guided by data — not politics.
That’s what we’re fighting to defend.
