This is unacceptable. His actions have undermined U.S. national security and endangered Ukrainian lives. He has repeatedly shown that he is unfit to serve as Secretary of Defense.
It is time for Pete Hegseth to go.

In March, I called on Secretary Hegseth to resign for sharing classified information in an unsecured group chat.
Now, Secretary Hegseth has once again put lives at risk by recklessly and unilaterally pausing critical U.S. military assistance to Ukraine.

Donald Trump's "Big Ugly Bill" doesn't just attack reproductive health care – it threatens the only health care option for many women and families.
I’m back in Sacramento meeting with Planned Parenthood to discuss the path forward and how we protect access to care.
Last week, Republicans voted to take away health care from nearly 17 million Americans.
We won't let them forget.

Trump’s tariffs will raise prices on everyday goods and increase costs for small businesses.
It’s time to abandon this approach. We need to work together to lower costs, not make life harder for families already struggling to make ends meet.
American consumers and small businesses remain in limbo as President Trump continues to delay his tariff deadline.
Let’s be clear: what the president is delaying is a tax on working families.

This is both alarming and entirely preventable.
The MMR vaccine is safe, effective, and proven to prevent measles.
We cannot afford to let misinformation and complacency put more lives at risk.

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
As the son of immigrants, I’m grateful every day to live the American Dream.
Let’s work together to keep that dream alive—not just for today’s generation, but for generations to come.

I ran Sacramento County's safety net clinic system before entering Congress.
I've seen what happens when patients can't access the care they need.
That's why I'm worried about Donald Trump's Big Ugly Bill becoming law.

I just voted NO on Donald Trump's "Big Ugly Bill."
Democrats stand united against this harmful and irresponsible legislation.
It’s been a long night here in Washington, D.C.
This morning, I joined KCRA 3 to discuss how President Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill” will roll back the progress Democrats have made to expand health care access and protect the social safety net for working families.

Leader Jeffries hits the nail on the head.
Medicaid matters and it must be preserved for millions of children, seniors, women, families, and people with disabilities in Sacramento County and across our nation.
Democrats stand united against this bill.
I’m back on the House floor and just voted NO on advancing Donald Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill.”
House Democrats will continue fighting to protect Americans’ health care and food assistance from these harmful cuts.

Donald Trump's "Big Ugly Bill" will take health care away from millions of Americans.
As a doctor, I know just how devastating the ripple effects of this bill will be — from shuttered rural hospitals to seniors losing the nursing home care they rely on.
As a doctor, I’m proud of the progress we’ve made in California to expand health care and move closer to universal coverage.
Donald Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill” threatens to undo that progress by taking health care away from more than two million Californians.
We must stop this bill.

“This is not a luxury. I do not have my daughter enrolled on Medicaid so we can have fancy things,” Leader said. “I have my daughter enrolled in Medicaid so we can keep her alive."
Courtney’s story is a sobering reminder of what’s at stake.
We must defeat this bill.
