The sudden removal of senior leaders disrupts ongoing operations, weakens institutional knowledge and leaves the American public more vulnerable to threats from criminals and terrorists who seek to harm our nation.
I am deeply concerned by the abrupt and arbitrary dismissal of several top FBI officials— career civil servants with decades of experience protecting our nation from crime, cyber threats and terrorism. www.nbcnews.com/politics/jus...
I am following reports of a passenger jet colliding with a military helicopter near Reagan National Airport in D.C. While we await further details, my prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy and I am grateful for the swift response from our first responders.
The event was filled with community members in vibrant cultural attire, and a spirited Dragon Dance performance brought joy and excitement to mark the start of the new year. Wishing all who celebrate a joyous and healthy new year filled with wisdom, resilience and new opportunities!
Happy Lunar New Year to all those celebrating in #SacramentoCounty and beyond! Over the weekend, I attended Asian Resources, Inc.'s (ARI) Lunar New Year celebration in Sacramento to ring in the Year of the Snake.
The Trump administration's sweeping freeze on federal grants and loans should not have been issued in the first place. I talked to ABC 10 yesterday detailing the uncertainty and concern this far-reaching order sparked amongst #SacramentoCounty residents.
Following the decision handed down by a federal judge temporarily blocking this freeze, I urge the Trump administration to reverse course and abandon this effort. I will do everything in my power to ensure that Sacramento County residents receive the vital funding and support they rely on.

Strengthening Quad cooperation is key to realizing our vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific. As a co-chair of the Congressional Quad Caucus, I am committed to strengthening multilateral cooperation to bolster prosperity, resilience, and security in the Indo-Pacific.
Joint statement from Congressional Quad Caucus co-chairs: “We welcome Foreign Minister Iwaya of Japan, Foreign Minister Wong of Australia and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar of India to the United States for the Quad Foreign Minsters’ Meeting, the first multilateral meeting hosted by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Strengthening Quad cooperation is crucial to maintaining a rules-based international order and a free and open Indo-Pacific. We must continue to deepen multilateral cooperation to enhance our shared prosperity, create resilient supply chains and expand maritime security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.”
As a doctor and proud member of the @reprocaucus.bsky.social, I believe personal health care decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor. On Roe’s 52nd anniversary, I remain committed to restoring this fundamental freedom.
Individuals who attacked police officers and invaded the Capitol on January 6th received fair trials and were convicted. President Trump should not have pardoned them.
