This move is a betrayal of a democratic ally, emboldens our adversaries, and makes our nation weaker.

South Korea has stood with the United States for over 70 years and is one of our most capable military allies.
Cutting joint exercises undercuts deterrence and undermines confidence in America’s commitments.
Social Security is a promise. It’s a promise that after a lifetime of hard work, seniors can retire with security, dignity, and peace of mind.
In Congress, I will continue fighting to protect and strengthen Social Security to keep that promise alive for the next 91 years and beyond.
The next generation deserves the same opportunity Janine and I had to buy a home, build economic security, and achieve the American Dream.
Now we need to build on that work by partnering with cities, counties, and developers across our region to get more housing built faster and at a price working families can afford.
It was great to join Congresswoman Matsui, Congressman Thompson, and other local leaders at Mirasol Village to highlight the progress we’re making here in Sacramento.
This new law will help streamline the building process, make better use of vacant public land, and support the construction of more homes.
When I talk to families across the Sacramento region, I hear from too many folks who are working hard but still can’t afford to buy a home.
That’s why I am proud to support the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.
Manufacturing a “national security emergency” to seize control of our elections would be a dangerous abuse of power.
We must take Trump at his word and be prepared to fight back.
This move further undermines trust in proven vaccines and puts more children at risk from preventable diseases.
We have already seen the consequences of RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccine rhetoric.
Vaccination rates are falling.
Measles cases are surging.
Diseases we once brought under control are at risk of becoming a threat again.
Voting rights are once again at risk. President Trump continues to undermine confidence in our elections, even though repeated audits have shown that our elections are safe & voter fraud is extremely rare.
We must defend the right to vote & ensure every eligible citizen can make their voice heard.
Today is the 61st anniversary of the Voting Rights Act.
This landmark law prohibited racial discrimination in voting & helped secure equal access to the ballot.
Their story reflects the resilience, hard work, and determination that make our local small businesses so special.
I was proud to recognize Good Eats Deli in Fair Oaks as my office’s July Small Business of the Month!
After losing their longtime San Francisco café during the pandemic, owners Ramzi and Siham Khoury moved to Fair Oaks and rebuilt Good Eats Deli from the ground up alongside their children.
This is a predictable consequence of Republicans letting the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits expire.
We must restore these tax credits and ensure every American has access to affordable, quality healthcare.
A growing number of Americans are now seeking care in emergency rooms because they could no longer afford to pay their health insurance premiums.

Thank you @mikethompson.house.gov and @bera.house.gov for joining me to celebrate the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act becoming law!
Housing costs are squeezing Sacramento families. Now we need to fund this bipartisan law, hold HUD accountable, and deliver more affordable homes.
I was honored to help launch this caucus in June and look forward to continuing to build bipartisan support for these vital programs in the years ahead.
As co-chair of the bipartisan Congressional International Exchanges Caucus, I am proud to #CelebrateExchangeDay and the programs that build lasting people-to-people ties, strengthen our alliances, and advance American leadership around the world.
