@repbillfoster.bsky.social sounds the alarm on Trump’s attacks on science, from slashing research funding to firing our nation's top scientists and engineers. House Democrats are fighting back to protect America’s scientific leadership and keep us moving forward—not backward.
Great to be in New Orleans last week as @HouseDems Steering & Policy kicked off our national tour to expose Trump’s One Big, Ugly Law.
This disastrous law rips health care from 17M Americans, hikes grocery & utility costs, and hits Louisiana especially hard.
We’re fighting back.
Proud to support this project and provide a safe space for community to gather and connect with nature.
Yesterday in #SouthGate, we celebrated the grand opening of the Urban Orchard, a new 30-acre park along the LA River.
This new green space, which also includes a fruit tree orchard and wetlands, was made possible through federal, state, local, and nonprofit partnership.
@HouseDemocrats.bsky.social believe ALL Louisianans deserve health care. Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and the Steering & Policy Committee were on the road, hosted by @reptroycarter.bsky.social, in New Orleans last week to hear from Louisianans on how devastating these cuts will be to people.
Republicans voted against their constituents’ interest and for Trump’s Big Ugly Bill. States like Louisiana heavily rely on Medicaid — but Speaker Johnson and Majority Leader Scalise celebrated taking health care away from their constituents.

If you don’t like LA - then just stay out. For REAL Angelenos - we love our city and we’ll protect all of our Latino neighbors from your cruelty.
Your terror operation is indiscriminately going after all Latinos in LA - even citizens.
LA is a vibrant & culturally diverse city where Latinos have always been a major part of every day life. You’re the one who made LA look like a war zone.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social will continue to fight Trump and Stephen Miller’s terror campaign that is ripping our communities and families apart.
At Banning High School this morning for a @laschools.bsky.social immigration resource fair to make sure our communities know their rights and how to react when they come into contact with ICE. So important for all of us to continue to come together and protect our communities.

On today's Democratic Daily Download, @hankjohnson.house.gov marks one week since Donald Trump signed the Big, Ugly Law and explains how Republicans are making life worse for everyday Americans.
While Republicans cheer because their billionaire buddies can now get even more tax breaks, @housedemocrats.bsky.social will continue to fight for Americans’ right to essential care.
At the Crescent Care health clinic in New Orleans, @reptroycarter.bsky.social hosted the S&P Committee & Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social for a press conference on Trump’s Big Ugly Law that will rip health care away from millions—especially in states that rely heavily on Medicaid, like Louisiana.
The Tomato Suspension Agreement is set to expire July 14. If it ends, Mexican tomatoes will face a 17% tariff— raising prices for U.S. consumers and hurting American businesses.
For 30 years, the TSA has ensured quality tomatoes and supported jobs across the supply chain. Congress must act. 🍅
HAPPENING NOW: @housedemocrats.bsky.social Steering & Policy Town Hall hosted by @reptroycarter.bsky.social with Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social on how cuts to Medicaid in Trump’s #BigUglyLaw hurt Americans & what House Dems are doing to protect your health care.⬇️

The Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill will raise electricity costs and kill 1.75 million jobs by wiping out clean energy investments. On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repscottpeters.bsky.social explains why we must build a clean, affordable, and reliable energy future – not tear it down.
We must never forget that behind these large-scale infrastructure improvements are workers—real people—doing difficult and dangerous jobs. We are so grateful they are safe and will go home to their loved ones tonight.
Thankfully a tragedy was avoided tonight because LAFD sprang into action when they got word of workers trapped deep underground when the Clearwater tunnel collapsed in #Wilmington. Glad the workers are all safe and accounted for. Thank you to our first responders whose bravery and speed saved lives.
