Thanks to Trump, Ohioans have spent 3,300 more on everything from goods to groceries.   - Your housing costs - $779 more - Your groceries - $310 more - Your energy bill - $510 more - Your healthcare - $1,000 more on deductibles   Ohio can’t afford Trump’s terrible agenda.
While Americans are struggling to get by, Republicans are about to give Trump $72 billion more for his war of choice in Iran.   I refuse to give this administration another dime for a war Americans do not want. I'll be voting NO on Republicans' reckless budget bill.
In Cleveland and communities across the country, too many families are still living with lead paint and pipes that put their health at risk. Today, I filed legislation to get the lead out of our walls and our water.
Because of Trump's Big Ugly Law and greedy tax cuts for the rich, people who rely on SNAP are suffering, including over 1 million kids.
🚨NEW: In the 9 months after last year’s reconciliation law enacted unprecedented SNAP cuts, the number of people receiving SNAP fell by more than 4.5 million. Based on available data, we estimate that at least 1.5 million fewer kids are receiving SNAP. www.cbpp.org/research/foo...
Graphic showing the change in SNAP participation from July 2024 to April 2026. Between the reconciliation law's enactment in July 2025 and April 2026, the number of people receiving SNAP fell by more than 4.5 million.
ICE is out of control – with fatal consequences. Two more people have been killed. And despite what ICE and Trump think, they are NOT above the law. I joined my Democratic colleagues to demand transparency and push for an independent investigation into the latest ICE shootings.

I’m on the latest episode of The Fly-in this week. Be sure to check out the episode and hear Rep. Landsman, Rep. Veasey, and I talk about this administration’s impact on our social safety net programs and taxpayers’ bottom line. Tune in today!
When families lose health coverage, everyone pays the price. @repshontelbrown.bsky.social explains how Republicans' health care cuts will increase medical debt, strain hospitals, and raise costs on the latest episode of the Fly-In, coming later today.
Big news: the CWRU led NEO-SMART manufacturing partnership has received a massive federal grant of up to $160 million to support jobs and innovation in NE Ohio. This huge investment is made possible by the CHIPS and Science Act, which I proudly voted for.
