Last summer, the Supreme Court issued an unprecedented decision shielding the president from criminal prosecution. In America – where all are created equal – no one is above the law. I joined @Morelle.house.gov to introduce a constitutional amendment to end absolute immunity for presidents.
The numbers are in. According to experts at the nonpartisan CBO, the Trump tax package will:
❌Kick 10 MILLION Americans off their health insurance
📈Add $3.4 TRILLION to the national debt
💰Hand out massive tax breaks to billionaires
It’s a big, ugly ripoff of working families.
Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, we’ve seen the devastating impacts of extreme abortion bans in states across the country: women being denied lifesaving care and doctors living in fear. We need to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to restore reproductive rights for all.
Last week, Republicans in Congress greenlit President Trump’s cuts to local broadcasting, lifesaving international aid, and other important programs. It’s a complete abdication of Congress’ power to direct spending and a signal to Trump that there are no checks on his power. Shameful.

It directs DoD to make almost $8 billion in cuts – putting troop pay on the chopping block. It’s appalling that House Republicans would force our heroes in uniform to take a pay cut so that billionaires can get a tax break.
It attacks LGBTQ+ servicemembers with hateful policies and prevents female servicemembers from traveling to seek reproductive care, even when they’re stationed in a state where it is unavailable. These policies will undermine our troops' health, morale, and readiness.
