We knew that these cuts would have deadly consequences. The NWS budget isn’t just a number that can be slashed because Trump and DOGE feel like it. These are real services that would have saved real people. I’m just devastated.

On this Independence Day, Trump will sign into law one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation in American history. This is nothing to celebrate.
I remain hopeful one day we will restore true freedom and opportunities and live up to the ideals that July 4th represents.
BREAKING: The House shamefully passed Trump’s big ugly, horrific, terrible bill that will leave 17M people without health insurance.
I, like every Democrat, voted HELL NO.
People are going to suffer. I’m horrified that Congress would pass such a harmful piece of legislation.
Trump has no idea what's in his own bill because even he said don't touch Medicaid. The bill guts Medicaid. It guts Medicaid by $1 trillion. This is a fact, and we are not going to let Fox News or anyone else distort the truth.
Trump's budget gives ICE $100 billion to terrorize communities, rip families apart, and lock people in cages.
ICE will be the largest police force in the country and have a bigger budget than many other countries' entire military.
All for Donald Trump's and Stephen Miller's deportation agenda.
Every single Democrat will vote NO on the Big Ugly Bill.
We just need four Republicans to agree that not kicking people off health insurance is more important than a tax break for billionaires.
America, listen up.
We have one more chance to stop the bill that will cut $1 trillion from Medicaid.
CALL. YOUR. REPUBLICAN. REPRESENTATIVES. It is your voice and your voice only that can fix this. Democrats will hold the line.
The Senate just passed Trump's Big Hideous Bill. The bill:
Kicks 16 million off their health care and raises costs even if you don't get kicked off.
Closes nursing homes and hospitals.
Hikes energy bills.
It now heads back to the House for final passage. I'll be back in DC tomorrow to vote NO.
Americans don’t want to have less so billionaires can get more. The wealthy are doing just fine, they don't need Congress's help.
Kill the bill.
Compared to six months ago, more voters support giving undocumented people a pathway to legal status rather than deportation.
People do not support ICE's cruelty.
And voters would be correct.
Republicans are calling it a “pro-growth” bill. Voters are calling it “a goddamn robbery.” @therickwilson.bsky.social explains why in his latest article for Lincoln Square.

My statement on the Supreme Court's 6-3 decision to restrict federal judges from stopping the nationwide enforcement of blatantly unconstitutional laws.
Trump seeks unrestrained, unchecked power.
Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right.

Stephen Miller is personally profiting off Trump's mass deportation agenda.
He is deporting Americans, ignoring due process, AND making money while doing it.
Many, many families will no longer be able to access breast exams, pregnancy testing, prenatal and postpartum care, STD testing, birth control, sex education, vaccines, mental health care, and more.
Low income families will be affected most. Cruelty after cruelty.
Tell your representatives NO.
Save our public lands! 🌲🏜️
We're seeing researchers and scientists leaving the US and going overseas to work. The cuts to grants and research funding are irrational, against the will of the people, and will hurt all of us.
I'll say it again. People want their elected leaders to lower the cost of housing.
Ban digital price fixing.
Build more affordable housing.
Help first-time homebuyers.
Go after greedy corporations illegally raising rent.
I have bills to get these things done. Let's pass them.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
