Zachery and Ashtin are raising two young kids, serving their community, and working hard. Yet for so many families like theirs, buying an affordably priced home still feels like a stretch. My K-30 agenda is aimed at lowering the cost of housing, so families aren’t priced out of their future.
For too long, our government has left young Americans without the support they need. My K-30 agenda takes key steps to increase access to education, housing, and the job market.
I toured Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences and saw firsthand how students are gaining real skills, real experience, and real pathways to good-paying careers through internships, apprenticeships, and college credit. This is what it looks like when we invest in our kids and their futures.
From classrooms to careers to homeownership – too many young people are being priced out of opportunity. Yesterday, I listened to students, parents, and recent grads about what needs to change. I’m working on making those changes a reality with my K-30 agenda.
Kristi Noem continues to lie, abuse her power, and betray the Constitution. Under her leadership, ICE is terrorizing Americans and destroying what families worked their whole lives to build. That’s why I’m calling for her removal – through resignation, impeachment, or firing. She’s gotta go.
Need help with a federal agency? Stop by the Canby Civic Center on Thursday from 11 AM – 2:30 PM PT and talk with my team. Please note this is a staff-run event, and I will not be in attendance.
I just voted against the DHS Appropriations bill and the level of funding it gives to ICE. ICE needs transparency, accountability, and to follow the law. Full stop.
As a mom of four, I know firsthand how hard it is for young people to buy a house. To fix that, we need to build more affordable housing, not luxury developments.
It was great to meet Jane and her son at the airport yesterday! They are as wholesome as Oregon gets. Ed takes his mom, Jane, out to eat, and she rates restaurants.
Had to hop on this trend because some of my colleagues need a reminder that Congress is meant to protect the American people, not stand by while the President recklessly abuses his power.
To honor MLK Day, I joined the Urban League of Portland in celebrating its 80 years of advocacy. Urban League of Portland, thank you for your leadership, advocacy, and commitment to uplifting our community.
Thank you to everyone who came to my first town halls of 2026 in Deschutes, Clackamas, and Linn counties! Shoutout Senators Merkley and Wyden for co-hosting and Mayor Kebler, Martha Schrader, and Mayor Johnson for emceeing. I appreciate all of you who shared your stories!
