The aircrews at the Redmond Air Center play a key role in fighting wildfires across Central Oregon.
Today, I got to tour their air center, check out some of the aircrafts, and meet with the brave forest service representatives who keep our communities safe.

The $14 million in federal funding I fought for will help our community invest in projects from expanding water infrastructure, to constructing Early Childhood Centers, to building affordable housing.

90 years ago today, the Social Security Act was signed into law, creating an earned benefit that helps our seniors retire with dignity.
My constituents deserve to live free from the fear of losing their Social Security – that’s why I won’t stop fighting to protect and expand this essential program.

Prices are rising and hiring is slowing.
The data doesn't lie – Trump's economic policies aren't working.

Trump and Republicans' trash budget could cost Oregon $15 BILLION in funding for programs Oregonians rely on, including $10 billion for Medicaid and $2.8 billion for SNAP.
Healthcare will be more expensive and food will be harder to afford, all so they could make life easier for billionaires.
🚨CD5: an Extreme Heat Warning and Heat Advisory remain in effect today – stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities.
If you need AC, cooling centers have opened across our district. You can find one close to you at www.clackamas.us/relief.
Talk about leadership – Clackamas Community College President Tim Cook ran 26 – 30 miles A DAY for a total of 1,400 miles, all in the name of supporting his students and students across Oregon.
Congratulations on a fantastic run for a great cause.

The Trump administration is trying to roll back regulations for power plants, a decision that would have devastating impacts on our environment.
I’m calling on the EPA to do its job – we need to be fighting for clean air and clean water for our communities, not helping big polluters cut corners.
I grew up in DC and this supposed takeover is like Trump playing cops and robbers with himself. I’m deeply disturbed at the continued interference with the city’s affairs and Home Rule.
It's a distraction and a power grab. He needs to get out.
Thank you to all of you who have shown up and used your voice at my town halls across the district this summer.
We are in a fight for our nation, our values, and our freedoms, and it is your stories that fuel our fight – let’s keep giving ‘em hell!
Local news stations across CD5 are facing uncertainty as a result of the cuts to public broadcasting in Republicans' trash budget.
People will lose their jobs, emergency alert systems will be impacted, and access to information will be limited.

Higher prices caused by President Trump's tariffs are estimated to cost households an average of $2,400 per year.
His economic policies are out of control, and it's Oregonians who are going to foot the bill.

With full funding, Oregon's Solar for All program could help over 8,000 low-income households install solar panels to lower their monthly energy bills.
The Trump administration just terminated it.
I'm demanding the EPA immediately reverse this decision & return the funds to @odoenergy.bsky.social.
We’re one step closer to over $14 million coming home to CD5 for projects across the district.
From investing in clean water, to building affordable housing, to improving public safety, this funding will be transformative for our communities – I won’t stop fighting to get it across the finish line.
It’s also why I introduced the Microplastics Safety Act – a first of its kind bill to require the Department of Health and Human Services to study the impacts of microplastics in our food, water, and more.
We need to find out more about what microplastics do to our health.
🧵(2/2)
While researchers have found microplastics to be tied to cancer and infertility, the full scope of their impact is still unknown.
That’s why this week, 170 countries are gathering to discuss regulating the production, consumption, and disposal of plastics.

Republicans cut nearly $200 billion for SNAP, a program that helps put food on the table for children, seniors, and veterans – all to give tax breaks to billionaires.
I won’t stop fighting to protect this essential program.
