It was the honor of a lifetime to return to The Madeira School to celebrate the class of 2025.
My time at Madeira provided me with the bravery, curiosity, and voice to make my mark in the world. I am so proud of this year’s graduates, and I can't wait to see what they do next.
I am devastated by reports this morning of the senseless and targeted assassination of two Minnesota state lawmakers.
Political violence cannot be normalized.
My heart and my prayers are with the loved ones of Rep. Hortman, Sen. Hoffman, their spouses, and all Minnesotans.
Food insecurity is on the rise in our state and across the country, yet the Trump administration is canceling deliveries to food banks.
At the Oregon Food Bank, that means they will be seeing 90 less truckloads of food than before.
By killing the Resilient Columbia Basin Agreement, President Trump is picking winners and losers from thousands of miles away.
While he wields his wrecking ball with no respect for the work that went into the agreement or the parties involved, our communities will pay the price.
Some VIP visitors came to see me in DC yesterday – students from Kairos PDX Elementary School!
We hung out on the House steps and talked about what it’s like to be a Member of Congress and the importance of voting. I love meeting young leaders – they are the future!
Lake Oswego, are you ready for a great town hall? This is your chance to show up and show out!
Join me next Monday, June 16 in the Lake Oswego High School auditorium at 6:00 PM to elevate your voices!
I was also proud to recognize Petty Officer First Class Carol T. Cardenas from the U.S. Coast Guard.
Petty Officer Cardenas’ incredibly decorated career is a prime example of the women who selflessly serve our country, and it was an honor to meet her.

I had the honor of recognizing Major Brianna Startzell-Nunez.
From her position as Chief of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at military hospitals, to her work on health care access and brain health, she has served our country with dedication and bravery.
Thank you for your service.

This week, I joined the Bipartisan Women's Caucus to honor and recognize six brave, resilient women with a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery.
We came together to thank them for their bravery, and to honor the fallen, who gave their all in service to our nation.

Today, a US Senator was thrown to the ground by Trump's thugs and arrested for having an opinion different than the President. That's un-American.
They're dragging us further from democracy and closer to a dictatorship.
And if they'll come for him, they'll come for you.
I've got to brag on my CD5 scholars for a second, who have won the National Merit Scholarship, one of the highest academic awards for high schoolers.
Kids from West Linn, Lake Oswego, & Bend are headed to college to do great things – I can't wait to see you soar!

It’s been 159 days since Republicans gained control of Congress, and yet, we still have not voted on a single piece of legislation to lower costs.
Instead, they’re stripping people of their health care and stealing food out of the mouths of our families.
Shared a special moment with Ren Suo, the winner of our Congressional Art Competition today, when we got to see her artwork hanging in the halls of the Capitol!
I’m so glad she got to make the trip. The talent in CD5 is off the charts!
It was incredible to be able to connect with so many of you during my first telephone town hall last night. A great fourth stop of the Give ‘Em Hell Tour.
We talked about Trump’s trash bill and its harmful cuts, and protecting the programs so many Oregonians rely on.
Thanks for tuning in!
It’s far past time that college athletes get their fair share.
I introduced my College SPORTS Act to finally level the playing field.
Last call for the telephone town hall!

I look forward to speaking with you!
SNAP is a vital lifeline for my constituents.
The President's trash bill cuts this program, leaving people in CD5 hungry. It's unacceptable.

Freedom of speech is under attack across the country.
This morning, I stood shoulder to shoulder with my colleagues as Congressional Black Caucus Chair @repyvetteclarke.bsky.social offered remarks in defense of the right to dissent.
Our rights are on the line. We will not back down.
