President Trump makes it very clear that he “couldn’t care less” that his policies are raising prices on everything from new vehicles to everyday goods at the grocery store.
Completely out of touch with the needs of working class Americans.

Our educators, parents, and children deserve a government that invests in their success – not one that undermines their future.
That’s why I’m fighting back against this illegal effort to destroy the Department of Ed. and devastate public education nationwide.
cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
Dismantling the Education Department would mean:
-26M kids nationwide lose access to funding
-12M students lose access to career & technical education
-10M students from low-income families could lose access to 2- & 4-year colleges
-7.5M students lose access to special education service funding
This weekend, I had the privilege of hosting
@bobbyscott.house.gov in Kansas City to hear from educators throughout #MO05 about the devastating consequences the Trump Administration’s cuts to the Department of Education would have on students, teachers, and families.
As President Trump and Elon Musk gut federal investments in science and technology, they’re ensuring fewer cures will be found, less innovation will occur, and more countries will catch up to the America's technological advancements.
It’s a massive self-own to fund another tax cut for billionaires.
While the Trump Administration tries to erase trans people from the law, I have a message for every trans person in MO-05 & around the country:
We in @equality.house.gov are fighting for you every day.
We see you, and we stand with you. #TDOV
Wishing a blessed Eid Mubarak to all those who celebrate in #MO05 and around the world!
As we mark the conclusion of Ramadan, may this special day bring peace, blessings, and happiness to you and your family.
Every single American who believes in the constitution should be horrified by the Trump Administration detaining legal residents who have not committed a crime and attempting to deport them strictly because of their political views.
It’s an attack on free speech and threatens due process for ALL.
President Trump’s tariff taxes and reckless economic policies are already helping to reignite inflation and raise costs for American families.
It’s not too late to prevent a self-inflicted economic downturn—but the president must reverse course and end the chaos!
Missouri seniors have spent a lifetime contributing to Social Security—but President Trump and Elon Musk’s reckless cuts to the Social Security Administration are putting those hard-earned benefits in jeopardy.

Whether it comes from the highest levels of the federal government or a giant corporation, union busting is disgusting.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social will stand with American workers and push back against this blatant attempt to undermine collective bargaining rights.
President Trump and Elon Musk's work to destroy the nation’s consumer watchdog leaves families vulnerable to the predatory actions of Wall Street.
Proud to join Rep. Maxine Waters in the fight to defend Americans & the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau!

America is already facing a housing affordability crisis in communities nationwide—which is why it’s imperative that the U.S. continue to invest in federal housing programs that will lower costs for hardworking families.
More information here:

With housing costs already rising, President Trump & HUD Secretary Turner are firing federal workers & dismantling HUD field offices that play a vital role in supporting federal housing programs across the country.
Senator Padilla & I are leading 100+ Congressional Dems in condemning these efforts.
I was proud to join @justeconomy.bsky.social for their “Just Economy Conference” to talk about the invaluable impact of Community Development Financial Institutions and their work to support economic and housing development nationwide.
“The president is following a playbook from other countries whose leaders have sought to undermine democratic systems and the rule of law, including Russia, Turkey and Hungary.”
Trump is implementing the authoritarian playbook here at home.
We all must continue to push back.
Gutting America’s public health system does nothing to make our nation safer or healthier.
In fact, it does the exact opposite.
It ensures that fewer cures are found, less treatment is available, and more Americans will die unnecessarily.
While states like Missouri are already facing a teacher shortage in many school districts, President Trump is asking the Supreme Court to freeze federal funding dedicated to training the next generation of teachers.
SCOTUS must stop this action before it harms students in #MO05 and nationwide.
In their rush to destroy anything related to pandemic public health—during outbreaks of measles and bird flu—the Trump Administration is also cutting critical research into treatments for cancer, HIV, mental health, and addiction.
“The cuts are deep.”
NEWS: As HHS begins to pull billions from states health agencies and ~100 universities, pandemic preparedness efforts are getting axed.
Also cut:
—Millions for mental health/substance abuse care in most states
—Grants to cancer centers
—More HIV research
