Today, those protections have been systematically dismantled by the Supreme Court and Trump, making it harder for millions of Americans to cast their ballot and have their voices heard.

61 years ago, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law, outlawing racial discrimination in voting and strengthening our democracy.
We must protect our workers to prevent any more deaths.
Heat-related illnesses cause hundreds of preventable workplace deaths each year. My bipartisan Asunción Valdivia Heat Illness, Injury, and Fatality Prevention Act would codify these workplace heat protections into federal law so no President can undo them.
Trump is putting workers' lives at risk by seeking to roll back federal workplace protections against extreme heat, such as ensuring workers have paid breaks in cool spaces, access to drinking water, and require emergency care for workers experiencing heat-related illness.

More than a year after the Eaton Fire, our community is still recovering. If you applied for federal disaster assistance, you are not alone. Don't hesitate to reach out to SBA Disaster Loan Outreach or my office for additional help in navigating the process.

My statement on the confirmation of the Eaton Fire cause:
As students head back to school, families are paying nearly 8% more for school supplies than they did just one year ago.
Trump promised lower prices. Instead, his reckless tariffs are driving up the cost of everyday goods, and working families are paying the price.
It's a privilege to serve the SGV and work with our local chambers of commerce to support our vibrant small business community!
Last week, I joined the Altadena Chamber of Commerce and Civic Association and the Temple City Chamber of Commerce to share the work I’m doing to fight for disaster relief for Eaton Fire survivors, support small businesses, and bring federal dollars back home through Community Project Funding.

Republicans kicked 8 million people off health care. Now we're seeing the consequences of their actions in real time.
The only solution to ending this suffering is shutting down Adelanto NOW.
Just two weeks ago, a federal judge ordered ICE to immediately improve conditions at Adelanto. Yet despite that order, detainees are being forced to drink contaminated water filled with worms. ICE continues to fail its basic duty to protect those in its custody. It is unacceptable and inhumane.
