We must call the Dilley Family Detention Center what it really is: a prison.
Children are trapped without their parents, fed moldy and worm-ridden food, forced to drink dirty water, and exposed to fatal diseases like measles. No child should have to suffer like this.

I stand in solidarity with everyone who gathered this weekend in Pasadena to demand justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, and every person who has lost their life at the hands of ICE.
We will not stop fighting ICE's lawlessness.
The average family has already lost nearly $2,000 to Trump's tariff tax. They shouldn't have to pay a penny more.

Trump's tariffs are crushing small businesses and taking money out of Americans' pockets. But instead of lowering costs, he's doubling down with another round of tariffs that will drive prices even higher.
That anyone would deface this mural, which was painted by the community in response to a previous antisemitic incident in January after the one year commemoration of the Eaton Fire, is completely unconscionable.
I will always stand with PJTC and all our Jewish neighbors against hatred.
I am appalled by yet another instance of antisemitic vandalism of the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center.
It was a privilege to celebrate another class of graduates, especially my own APAICS Fellow Harrison Vijay Tsui and my APAICS Intern Maria Blaze. Your incredible work will leave a lasting impact on my team.
The APAICS Fellowship and Summer Internship program has created such an important pipeline for young AANHPI professionals to enter public service and ensure that our community is represented at the highest reaches of our government.
Every hardworking American deserves a livable wage. It’s time to pass the Raise the Wage Act.
The federal minimum wage has remained at $7.25 since 2009.
Since then, its value has declined by 30% as prices for basic necessities continue to rise. Today, the minimum wage is a poverty wage, with full-time workers earning less than the federal poverty line.
And, thank you to Lee Thomas Miller, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer, for giving us a wonderful performance of two of your original songs!
This week, I met with Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) to discuss how Congress can support musicians and other artists, including by protecting their work in the age of AI and passing my bipartisan bill to restore artists' ability to deduct their everyday business expenses.
There are more than 25 million AANHPIs, yet we only represent about 1% of elected officials. That’s why we must recommit ourselves to building a future where every community has a seat at the table, every person has the opportunity to be heard, & every future generation has the opportunity to lead.
This weekend, I attended the 2026 AAPI LEAD Summit to celebrate our fantastic AANHPI leaders from all across the nation.
As Chair Emerita of @capac.house.gov, I know how important it is to have spaces dedicated to representing, celebrating, and understanding our diverse communities. Congressional caucuses like CAPAC enable us to serve Americans better, plain and simple.
An Administration that already has a track record of repeatedly trying to throw people with disabilities off their benefits should never be given free reign to conduct open-ended experiments that could reduce benefits.
I voted NO.
But it does this by handing the Trump Administration broad new authority to test changes to the program, with no guardrails to protect people's earned benefits.
Today, House Republicans passed the Removing Barriers to Work for Disabled Americans Act, a bill that claims to help remove barriers to employment for people receiving Social Security disability benefits.
