Our Commander in Chief's job is to keep us safe. Yet Donald Trump is often skipping the most important intelligence briefing: the President’s Daily Brief. The lives of American servicemembers and our country's national security are at stake. Do better, Mr. President.
Antisemitism is real. Sadly, it’s on the rise in America. The Boulder attack is horrifying, cowardly, and unacceptable. We must call it out for what it is—targeted political violence at the Jewish community meant to spread fear. We can’t let hate win.
I am closely monitoring reports of a terror attack at Pearl Street Mall in Boulder. My thoughts are with everyone impacted by this senseless act of violence. Hate-fueled violence has no place in Colorado.
Joined faculty & staff of the Community College of Aurora this week for a town hall! The Community College of Aurora trains the next generation of Coloradans to succeed & helps our community thrive. It was great to sit down with their staff and discuss how I can best serve them in Congress.
Meeting directly with constituents is one of the best parts of my job, including young Coloradans in our district! Thanks to Denver Green School for the chance this week to speak to these impressive students about the future of our country!
Service makes our nation better, and AmeriCorps enables Coloradans to serve our community. I brought together Lieutenant Governor Primavera, Serve Colorado & local leaders to discuss how President Trump’s cuts to AmeriCorps will hurt Colorado.
The Colorado School of Mines is on the cutting edge of science & engineering, and today I saw this work in action. Great learning about their partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense & how they’re working to keep America safe. Keep up the great work!
It was great meeting Colorado’s future cadets! Our nation’s service academies are some of the best academic and athletic institutions in the world. These are truly our best and brightest. Excited to see what their futures hold.
In Congress, I’m working to fight corruption. Held a roundtable with End Citizens United & Jon Tester about how we can get dark money out of politics, take on special interests, and make sure government is working for everyday folks—not just the wealthy.
It’s not a secret that Democrats have a lot of work to do to win back the trust of voters. Rebuilding trust starts by showing up everywhere, listening, and respecting every person’s way of life—especially working class people that I grew up with.
What a night! Great to be on stage with @bennet.senate.gov last night at our town hall in Centennial. Thank you to the 300 folks who came out to ask questions and participate in our democracy.
Thanks to Foreign Policy for America for the opportunity to speak at their annual summit! America must continue to stand with the people of Ukraine, who are defending their country and pushing back against Russia's illegal invasion. #SlavaUkraïni
Excited to join @bennet.senate.gov tonight in Centennial to update Coloradans on our work in Congress! Tune into our social media channels for a livestream of the event.
I have no problem with wealth or success. What I have a problem with is Donald Trump rigging the game. Our economy should work for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected.
On Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom. Their service is not in vain or forgotten. We will forever stand on their shoulders so that the promise of democracy can live on. 🇺🇸
The first rule of leadership is lead by example. But for Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump, it’s do as I say, not as I do. America is less safe with these guys at the helm.
Ahead of Memorial Day, I joined Colorado leaders & community members at the Colorado Freedom Memorial here in Aurora. A solemn occasion to honor the more than 6,000 Coloradans who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. We must never forget their service. 🇺🇸
