The racial profiling, harassment, and threats to our community must end. I led the LA delegation in a letter to Kristi Noem to demand the immediate suspension of warrantless stops and racial profiling based detentions.
Last month, ICE agents physically assaulted two Latino employees of Los Angeles County’s Department of Parks and Recreation while on duty.
Trump lie: “Gas prices are below $2.30 a gallon in most states, and in some places, $1.99 a gallon.”
The truth: No state had an average gas price today below $2.37 per gallon.
Trump lie: “The SAVE Act will protect American election integrity.”
The truth: The SAVE Act will prevent over 21 million citizens from voting and make voting disproportionately for women and rural voters.
Trump lie: “I ended 8 wars.”
The truth: Trump hasn’t ended a single war. But he’s tried to start atleast three, that we know about.
Trump lie: “Our prices are coming down tremendously from the highest prices in the history of our country.”
The truth: That's bullshit. Trump should know, the price of his McDonalds order is up 27%. Numbers don't lie.
Trump lie: “The first duty of American elected officials is to protect American citizens and not protect illegal immigrants.”
The truth: The first duty of American elected officials is to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States.
Trump lie: “Democrats were letting non-citizens vote in our elections.”
The truth: Non-citizen voting is already illegal and incredibly rare. You’re more likely to be struck by lightning on your way to the polls than to cast a ballot alongside a non-citizen.
Trump lie: “We’re deporting violent criminals.”
The truth: Less than 14% of those arrested by ICE in 2025 had violent criminal records.
Trump lie: "We are protecting Medicaid with commonsense reforms.”
The truth: Trump signed into law the largest cut to Medicaid in history.
Trump lie: “Immigrants are costing the American taxpayers more money."
The truth: Immigrants generated about $1.7 trillion in economic activity in 2023 and paid roughly $652 billion in local, state, and federal taxes.
Trump lie: “The One Big Beautiful Bill is lowering costs for the American people."
The truth: 22 million people are facing drastic increases to their healthcare costs, thanks to Trump and Republicans’ ACA tax credit cancellation.
Tonight, I’ll be listening to Trump do the only thing he knows how to do: lie to the American people.
I’ll be fact-checking his lies live here on Twitter and Bluesky.
Follow along, it’s gonna be a long night.
It was a pleasure to sit down with Mayors and City Managers across the district to hear updates on their city operations and policy ideas to better serve the community. Our city leaders are critical for promoting public safety and facilitating everyday services.
I’m committed to making sure school leaders have the necessary resources to continue providing high quality public education to students.
Special thanks to our CA-31 School Board Members and Superintendents who joined me for a roundtable discussion on school performance, teacher needs, and supporting student success.
Zulma reached out to my office after years of waiting for her residency to be processed with USCIS. After opening casework with my district office, she was finally able to get her permanent residency. If you live in CA-31 and you need help with a federal agency, we are here to help!
I spoke at the South El Monte World Stage Event to share what I’m doing in Congress to prepare for the 2026 World Cup and LA28 Olympics. This is an exciting milestone for Southern California. My priority is to ensure we are game-day ready to host and showcase our communities.
Today marks 84 years since Executive Order 9066 authorized the mass imprisonment of over 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWII. A brutal lesson learned from history that prejudice and racism have no place in our nation.
