Today marks the 24th anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil.  We stand in solemn remembrance of the thousands of innocent lives lost and honor the heroism of the first responders who answered the call to danger.
Political violence against those we disagree does nothing to resolve the conflict. While I do not agree with Charlie Kirk’s politics, I’m horrified to hear about the act of inexcusable gun violence against him. We as a nation need to do something about guns and the rhetoric.
Today, I met with Wyatt Sharpe, a talented Gen Z anchor and reporter, to discuss youth engagement in politics. Getting involved and staying informed is crucial, no matter your age.
I’m proud to lead bipartisan efforts with Rep. Begich to help young enlisted servicemembers go home and visit their families. Our amendment passed and was added into the National Defense Authorization Act … (1/2)
On average, we lose 74 people to firearm suicide everyday. Today is #FirearmSuicidePreventionDay to spread awareness and education on the harm of this public health crisis in our country. Gun safety and proper firearm storage is an essential component of suicide prevention.
Over the past decade, firearm suicide has increased 57% among youth in the U.S., and over half of all gun deaths in America are suicides. Together, we can change that. This #FirearmSuicidePreventionDay, take a moment to check with those you care about, and ask: Is your firearm stored securely?
The Dept. of Homeland Security continues to abuse its power under Secretary Noem’s leadership. ICE is inciting chaos & sowing fear in our neighborhoods. Yesterday's Supreme Court ruling gave federal agents a green light to target people who look or sound Latino. This is un-American and disgraceful.
Damning and disgusting. @oversightdemocrats.house.gov released Epstein’s gross birthday book to clear up the lies and give the American people what they deserve: the truth. What else is he hiding? Release the Epstein files.
🚨🚨HERE IT IS: We got Trump’s birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein that the President said doesn’t exist. Trump talks about a “wonderful secret” the two of them shared. What is he hiding? Release the files!
Assistant Fire Chief Mike Fountain has served the community of West Covina and the West Covina Fire Department since 1995. Congrats on your well-deserved retirement, Chief Fountain.
Congratulations and welcome to the district, Kamden Coffee! Kamden Coffee is a small locally owned coffee shop that celebrated the grand opening of its own brick and mortar shop in Glendora. We’re so happy to see another small business growing and thriving in CA-31.
The Citrus Valley Association of Realtors supports businesses and realtor agents across the San Gabriel Valley. I sat down with the staff to discuss how we can continue to work as partners in keeping our business community thriving.
San Gabriel Valley is home to some of the most iconic breweries. I had the opportunity to hop around to a few of them to tour their facilities, speak with staff, and see what they have been brewing up. Thanks to Arrow Lodge Brewing, Nova Brewing, and City Brewery in Irwindale for hosting me! 🍻
Easterseals is a national network of support for providing essential care services to children and adults with disabilities, older adults, veterans, and their families. I stopped by their Adult Day Services in Glendora, which has been operating supportive programs to help adults with disabilities.
This Labor Day, we honor the achievements made by the generations of courageous workers who sacrificed and fought to establish fair wages, safe working conditions, and dignity in the workplace for all.
Congratulations to Azusa Pacific on the groundbreaking of their new Military and Veterans Center! This center will be monumental for military and veteran students on campus, and I’m proud to see these investments being made for our men and women in uniform. (1/2)
