Yesterday, I voted for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker of the House. He received the full support of our Caucus - WITHOUT having to make any shady side deals to secure votes.
Our current Speaker can't say that.

It would force our troops, federal employees, and essential workers to work without pay, while harming the very institutions that keep our country running smoothly. In short, this shutdown would be a reckless move that hurts everyday Americans just to satisfy a few powerful elites.
