On Memorial Day, we recognize the families of our fallen heroes in Colorado and across our country.
Our hearts are with you as we remember your loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Together, we are making progress to improve the lives of those with Down syndrome.
This week, I was proud to reintroduce the DeOndra Dixon INCLUDE Project Act to expand Down syndrome research and improve health outcomes for families nationwide.
Also, I was honored to receive the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award from the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
This bill makes life harder for the American people while enriching the top earners in our country. I voted against this terrible legislation, and I will continue to fight against this extreme and cruel agenda.
After shady back-room deals, hearings in the dark of night, bullying from the president, and hyper partisanship, House Republicans have forced through Trump’s ‘One, Big Bogus Bill’ that will kick over 13 million Americans off their health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
House Republicans are once again using the cover of night to eviscerate women’s reproductive freedom.
Their one big, ugly bill is an attack on reproductive freedom and will make it harder for women to receive the care they deserve to live healthy and happy lives.
Americans are seeing the consequences of Trump and DOGE’s reckless decisions play out in real time—like last week’s communication outage at DIA.
That's why I led colleagues from CO in demanding answers and urging the DOT and FAA to reinstate staff fired by DOGE and update critical infrastructure.
My thoughts are with his wife, Smitty, the entire Connolly family, his staff, and the 11th Congressional district during this sad time.
Heartbroken to hear about the passing of my friend and colleague, Gerry Connolly. Gerry was a true public servant, always fighting for those he represented and standing up for the issues that impacted his beloved home state of Virginia.
Members of Congress are statutorily allowed to visit ICE facilities to conduct oversight — no appointment needed.
Rep. McIver and her colleagues were doing their jobs.
The charges against her are a political stunt meant to intimidate and undermine oversight. It won't work.
My thoughts are with President Biden, Dr. Biden and the entire Biden family following the president’s cancer diagnosis.
I know President Biden is a fighter, and I’m praying for his health and a swift recovery.

The GOP Tax Scam takes health care away from nearly 14 million Americans, including kicking more than 8 million people off Medicaid.
On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @degette.house.gov explains how we are fighting to stop this disastrous bill.
Ending protections for Afghans, who risked their lives to help U.S. troops, betrays our values & our allies.
In CO alone, we’ve welcomed +3,000 Afghan evacuees, with tens of thousands more across the country enrolled in the Refugee Services Program.
We owe them safety, not abandonment.
Trump accepting a $400 million jet from the Qatari royal family is corruption & grift of the highest order, not to mention it also poses an immense national security risk. I signed onto a bill to prohibit federal funds from being used for this deal & demand all information about this serious issue.
The Trump Admin just gutted key protections against PFAS, allowing dangerous 'forever chemicals' to contaminate our water & threaten public health.
Despite this clear violation of the Clean Water Act, Trump refuses to hold polluters accountable.
I won’t stop fighting to protect our communities.
Today, SCOTUS is hearing arguments on Trump’s illegal push to end birthright citizenship—a bedrock of our Constitution. As a member of the Litigation Task Force, I proudly joined amicus briefs defending our 14th Amendment because citizenship cannot & should not be a political pawn.
Read my full statement on the Energy and Commerce Committee's markup of Trump’s ‘One Big, Bogus Bill’ below.
House Republicans are so focused on appeasing Trump & giving tax cuts to billionaires that they are gutting essential health care programs and providers.
I called out their cuts throughout E&Cs' 26-hour markup & will continue to do so as they try to jam this monstrosity of a bill through Congress.
The room filled back up today at the Energy & Commerce markup, but it was a small, intrepid group of women's health advocates who stayed with us all night.
We see you. We thank you.
And we will keep fighting back against the GOP's cruel efforts to gut Planned Parenthood & undermine women's health.
I’m not backing down, and I’ll keep calling out the GOP’s extreme, misguided policies no matter how long we are here.
