Underfunding the National Park Service brings uncertainty and unemployment to loyal park employees like Mary’s granddaughter. It also makes the 332 million annual visits to our national parks more difficult and dangerous. Our parks, our planet, and our people deserve better.
Republican cuts to water infrastructure will take over $7 million from projects across Connecticut that keep our water safe by removing lead piping & other dangerous chemicals. Every American should have access to clean water.
Our children deserve the same access to parks, museums, and clean air & water that past generations secured for us. We're on the verge of LOSING America's natural wonders to yet another round of Republican cuts. Watch @democrats-appropriations.house.gov fight back: youtu.be/W1IAAxotBcE
Republicans are building a lawless playground for billionaires and big corporations. Consumer protection? 🚫 Safeguards for the stock market? 🚫 Tax enforcement? 🚫 The wealthy few do whatever they want and the rest of us fend for ourselves.
The latest round of Republican cuts lets greedy corporations cheat on their taxes, poison consumers, & continue to scam everyday Americans out of their hard-earned money. 🔴 Watch me fight back with @democrats-appropriations.house.gov: youtu.be/y0alCFUVAes
This morning, I spoke at the Grimes Center about how the Big Ugly Bill will impact seniors’ healthcare. Medicaid covers 74% of all CT nursing home residents. The bill slashes Medicaid funding by nearly $1 TRILLION. Americans deserve better.
🚨The court just ruled what we've known all along: The Office of Management and Budget is required to restore the website detailing how it is spending YOUR taxpayer dollars. Here's what they tried to get away with⬇️
President Trump and Elon Musk just shut down the website that tells you how they spend YOUR money. Let’s break it down:
Republicans' Big Ugly Law defunds & destroys food assistance organizations that fight against hunger like CT Foodshare. Instead of supporting families during the cost-of-living crisis, Republicans are ripping food from people’s mouths to pay for tax breaks for the wealthiest.
Income driven repayment plans help borrowers manage student loan costs. Suspending them during a cost-of-living crisis makes no sense. The Trump Administration is making life more expensive for hardworking Americans.
In a cost-of-living crisis, Americans are struggling with housing and transportation costs. Instead of finding a solution, President Trump & House Republicans are abandoning their constituents and driving up everyday costs for middle-class families.
Republicans' crypto bills eliminate investor protections to benefit the ultra wealthy—like President Trump. These bills open the door to risky & unregulated financial products in pensions and retirement funds. This doesn’t spur innovation—it rewards scammers.
Honored to have met with Italian Deputy PM Antonio Tajani this week with the Italian American Congressional Delegation to discuss our historic alliance. As co-Chair of the delegation, I look forward to strengthening and celebrating our community together.
Republicans are slashing nearly half the funding for cost-saving Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy programs across Connecticut. As a result? Higher utility bills, fewer jobs, and suffering families. Who wins? Billionaires and big polluters. Who loses? Everyone else.
🛑 Healthcare is under attack. I'm going LIVE on X, FB, and YT today to discuss the growing threats to healthcare access and affordability—and what we must do to fight back. 📺 Tune in today and join the conversation! We need your voice.
