The President is about to stick taxpayers with a billion-dollar bill to renovate a $400 million luxury jet. Republicans looking for waste, fraud, and abuse should look at their own President.
In what world does it make sense that our interns can't accept a burger, but our President can openly accept a $400 million jet from a foreign government? The law is clear, but it seems this administration thinks they are above it and Republicans are enabling it.
Today, we remember the 49 lives lost at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando nine years ago. We must all work together to end the gun violence epidemic and create a future free from hate and violence against our LGBTQI+ communities.
I was so excited to meet with some incredible artists from across the district at this Year's Congressional Art Competition Reception. To all of the talented students who participated- congratulations! I look forward to continuing to enjoy your work!
Republicans are busy at work for their billionaire donors, introducing amendment after amendment catering to the biggest corporations at the cost of hurting the most vulnerable. Meanwhile, @democrats-appropriations.house.gov are working on behalf of the American people.
For 13 years, Dreamers have worked in key industries, raised families, contributed to our economy, and helped our country thrive. We must deliver permanent legal protections for the thousands of hardworking DACA recipients.
Republicans are raising prices on your groceries. Their new Agriculture & FDA funding bill will make food less safe and more expensive. Watch @democrats-appropriations.house.gov grill the GOP’s 2026 agriculture funding bill in committee today: youtu.be/N2bbh7-2s50
62 yrs after the Equal Pay Act women still earn 75 cents on the dollar compared to men. It's simple: men & women in the same job deserve the same pay. We must pass the Paycheck Fairness Act to strengthen the Equal Pay Act & ensure that all women are paid fairly.
PROJECT 2025 IN ACTION: House GOP has cooked up a catastrophic MilCon VA funding bill set to scam veterans out of quality medical care and line the pockets of corporate hospitals. @democrats-appropriations.house.gov push back: youtu.be/4yMpuHCaCsE
Congress has the power of the purse. We fund the Department of Defense to keep our nation safe. The Trump administration has given us no plans, just a request for a blank check.
Talk is cheap. All of these promises are empty without a plan. Rent is too high, groceries are too expensive, and people can't afford homes. All the Trump administration cares about is eliminating federal programs and lining the pockets of billionaires.
As threats against our national security & global democracy grow, we must ensure @DeptofDefense can deliver on its mission to protect the U.S., support our allies, & honor the men & women who bravely serve our nation. Watch my hearing here: youtu.be/1kWjd05DTWc
Nothing says Make America Healthy like firing vaccine experts.
In an unprecedented move, US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. removed all 17 members of the CDC's expert panel of vaccine advisers, citing conflicts of interest. cnn.it/4mYohFy
Thank you Griffin Hospital, Yale New Haven Health, Middlesex Health, CT Community Health Center Assoc., CT Hospital Assoc., & Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center for joining me in calling out how Medicaid and Affordable Care Act cuts would harm our state. Gutting healthcare programs threatens lives.
