Along with my Democratic colleagues on the Appropritations Committee, I'm urging Leader Schumer and Senate Democrats to stand with House Democrats and the American people, reject this continuing resolution, and force House and Senate Republicans back to the negotiating table.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of Rep. Grijalva’s passing.
He was a champion, a strong leader and will be missed in the House.
Thinking of his loved ones and the people of Arizona’s 7th.
To Senate Democrats: Donald Trump is broadcasting what he and Musk plan to do if the CR becomes law.
Voting yes means giving them the authority to do it 👇🏽

We have a four-week CR that keeps our government open and allows Congress to reach a BIPARTISAN funding agreement. It’s ready to go and House Democrats will vote for it.
We don’t support the Republican partisan blank check that gives Congressional authority away to Musk & Trump.
Again - Republicans control Congress and the White House.
If their appropriations bill fails, Rosa DeLauro and Patty Murray have a short-term, CLEAN CR to give us time to do the appropriations bills.
Don’t be fooled by Republicans pointing fingers; they just can’t govern.

"DOGE" employees may face criminal exposure for violating laws about financial conflicts of interest. @raskin.house.gov @frost.house.gov @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social @repdangoldman.bsky.social @repescobar.bsky.social & I are investigating enforcement of those laws:

Hi there! I’ll be a guest on MSNBC’s José Díaz-Balart Reports in just a few minutes.
Hope you’ll tune in!
I won’t be complicit with today’s Republican efforts to make Americans sicker, poorer, and worse-off in order to give massive tax breaks to billionaires.
There’s a viable alternative – I invite Republicans to join us and vote for a 30-day continuing resolution which ensures we do not have a government shutdown, and it gives appropriators the time we need to finish our work.
I voted against the Republican funding bill because not only does it slash programs important to seniors, families and veterans (it guts funding for the PACT Act), but it cedes Congressional authority and gives Elon Musk and Donald Trump unchecked power to continue wrecking the federal government.
“Absolutely not, Elon Musk” and why I’m voting against the Republican funding bill👇🏽
youtu.be/L2rT67kHbc4?...
In addition to slashing funding for healthcare, seniors, and veterans, every Republican that votes for their funding bill is deliberately choosing to protect Trump's tariffs.
It means each one of them is choosing to make your life more expensive and keep hurting our economy.
Republicans control the entire government.
The Republican funding plan is a betrayal to Americans. It will hurt veterans, families, and seniors.
If this is what they want, they should pass it with Republican votes. They control the House, the Senate, and the White House – if there is a government shutdown, it's on them.
prescient (adj.) - having or showing knowledge of events before they take place
Anyone else notice it's just the millionaires telling Americans to "endure the pain" Trump's disastrous economic policies are causing?
Every time the stock market drops, millions of Americans see their retirement funds disappear.
They don't care about you, just themselves.
The First Amendment doesn't only apply to those the President agrees with. Only dictators silence their dissenters this way.
The arrest of Mahmoud Khalil is yet another Trump attack on the Constitution and more democratic backsliding in America.

Always reassuring when the man who has access to our personal, private data can’t even keep Twitter from crashing 🙃
Maybe read the post again.... we agree

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
