I went to the Department of Justice to read the unredacted Epstein files. It’s clear that Jeffrey Epstein and the powerful men around him never thought these files would see the light of day, but because of the powerful courage and advocacy of survivors, justice will prevail.

If you weren’t able to join us, we will have plenty more town halls coming this year, both in person and virtually. Stay tuned for more details, and I hope to see you all there!
But whether it’s our first town hall or the 22nd, it’s always a privilege to hear what issues matter most in #MD03 – we heard everything from local issues like rising BGE bills & the future of Crownsville Hospital Center to national issues like affordability & oversight of the Trump Administration.
Thank you to the hundreds of constituents who joined me and @aacoexec.bsky.social last night at our Anne Arundel County Town Hall! This was my 22nd town hall since taking office last year.
I was honored to join Rudwan Abu-Rumman and the Anne Arundel County Muslim Council for such a meaningful celebration full of wonderful food and community – and I’m grateful our team could recognize one of their members, Chad Jones, for his work on the Council.
Ramadan Mubarak! A beautiful way to end a busy day in Congress: observing Ramadan with our neighbors in Anne Arundel!
This was a long overdue token of justice. The heroism of these officers is finally being honored, and our history – even its darkest moments – is being preserved.
To recognize the brave men and women who defended our democratic process on January 6th, 2021, Congress voted to create and hang a memorial plaque in the U.S. Capitol more than 3 years ago, and this weekend the plaque was finally installed.

Thank you for being such incredible local partners and for speaking out for our most vulnerable communities!
I’m so honored to have received a 100% on NETWORK’s 2025 Voting Record & even more grateful that Simone Blanchard, Sr. Fran Gorsuch & Colleen Guler from the Sisters of Bon Secours' Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation Ministry stopped by our District Office to present us with the certificate.
In 1972, 47 Catholic Sisters founded NETWORK to advocate for equity and justice for all, and for over 50 years, NETWORK has done just that – speaking out on a range of issues from voting rights, affordability, climate change, and more.
As the only Marylander on the House Armed Services Committee, I will continue having these conversations to ensure our servicemembers, veterans, and military families not only have the recognition they deserve, but the highest possible quality of care.
We discussed expanding access to care for veterans at Walter Reed, alternative therapies, and other ways to improve health care for our veterans and military families.
After convening our second veterans roundtable last November, I continued the conversation this week, welcoming some old and new faces – all of whom were constituents – representing Maryland and Virginia’s VFW to our nation’s Capitol!
Then sharing his wisdom with the next generation as an Anne Arundel County Public School teacher until he retired at the young age of 99. Mr. Keyes accomplished more in his lifetime than most of us could ever imagine, teaching us to live well and live generously.
Mr. Billy Keyes, who we lost at the age of 104, dedicated himself to service and his community by nearly every means possible – serving our country as part of the 761st Tank Battalion, which was the first all-African American unit to enter combat during World War II.
It was my privilege to recognize my friend and beloved Annapolitan on the House floor.
🍀 Happy (early) Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Thank you Brian, Franklin the Bassett Hound, and the Anne Arundel County Firefighters for letting me tag along for one of our best hometown traditions. So many friends and neighbors came out to enjoy a beautiful Sunday and celebrate together!
I’m so grateful to have such incredible partners to help advance legislation like the MAWS Act, critical provisions in the NDAA, and our new Maryland Whole Watershed Program Federal Partnership Act!
Thank you to the Choose Clean Water Coalition for inviting Team Maryland and our Chesapeake Bay delegation colleagues to celebrate Bay Day, share our wins in a tough Congress, and chart the work ahead to conserve the Bay and our other crucial waterways.
