Yet, rather than deferring to the FDA's expertise, the Fifth Circuit ruled to reinstate nationwide restrictions that would only allow patients to access mifepristone in person.

For more than 25 years, the FDA has repeatedly and consistently proven that mifepristone is not only safe, but lifesaving, especially for patients with limited access to reproductive health care.
As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation, their legacy reminds us that by learning from and preserving our past, we can build a better future for our students. Go Gators! 🐊
For over a century, neighbors have been able to receive a high-quality, free education in downtown Annapolis thanks to the dedication of passionate educators and volunteers.
I joined Annapolis Elementary’s staff, students, alumni, and local partners to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the school’s building and commitment to our community.
Some fun facts I shared with the young leaders of Annapolis Elementary School: theirs is the oldest continuously operating school in Maryland, older than the internet, Sesame Street, television, Old Bay, and even the telephone.
A special thank you to our judges for lending their time and artistic perspective to make this competition possible – and Maryland Hall for hosting our showcase!
A big congratulations to the winners – Jena from Reservoir High School, Mia from Annapolis High School, and Sandra from Glenelg High School – whose pieces will be hung in the Capitol, our DC, and District Offices for the next year!
Take a look at all of the talented young artists we have here in #MD03! 🎨 Last week, my team and I had a chance to highlight the incredible pieces submitted by high schoolers to our Congressional Art Competition.
If you want to learn about everything our state partners accomplished in the 2026 Legislative Session, join Delegate Watson, Senator Hester, Delegate Wu, and Delegate Ziegler for their annual End of Session Community Meeting happening TONIGHT at 7:00 PM at the new Capitoline Center:
#TeamMaryland is more than just our federal partners – we work together at every level to deliver for our neighbors.
Thank you again for calling my office, Abigail – I can’t wait to meet in person where she’ll become the first young constituent to help me cast my vote on the House Floor!
I took a moment after votes this week to call back Abigail, a sixth grader who reached out to my office about a school project! Especially during busy weeks in Congress, I’m so grateful to speak with young people who continue to lean in & participate in their government as our Founders envisioned.
On Thursday, May 28 at 5:30 PM, you can join us in Howard County to learn more about casework, grants, academy nominations, and all the other things #TeamElfreth and our partners can deliver for you. To RSVP and learn more about our resource fair, check out the link below:
As your member of Congress, my job isn’t just to represent your voice with the votes I take in Washington, but to be a resource and conduit on the issues you’re facing – big or small. That’s why I’m excited to announce that my team and I will be hosting our first Constituent Resource Fair!
Last year, more than 100 neighbors came to our forums and 27 of our talented nominees were accepted to the academies. Hope to see you there!

Whether it’s fighting cuts to NIOSH or working to pass the Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act, I’m proud to have the backs of the selfless first responders who are the backbones of our communities.
Over the past year and a half, our firefighters faced unprecedented attacks from DOGE’s sledgehammer and more – yet they continue showing up day in and day out to serve our communities.
On International Firefighters Day, we recognize the brave and tireless dedication of those on the front lines helping our neighbors on their hardest days.
