On the first day of Kwanzaa, I want to wish all those who celebrate in #MD03 a very happy holiday season filled with community and joy. These next days are a true celebration of unity, culture, faith, and purpose. Happy Kwanzaa!
It's a movie – nearly 80 years later – that still makes us stop and reflect on what it truly means to be a member of a community. In the words of Peter Bailey, “All you can take with you is that which you’ve given away.”
Merry Christmas #MD03! 🎄 I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday surrounded by loved ones and taking a well-deserved breather after a busy and challenging year. For those who don’t know, my annual Christmas tradition is making some hot cocoa and watching It's a Wonderful Life.

Over the past 12 months, the highlight of my work has been hearing from you – whether that’s at a town hall or at one of our many community events 🗓️ This year, I criss-crossed #MD03 and attended a total of 243 events, meetings, and site visits – including hosting 21 town halls.

ICYMI: I just released my 2025 Year In Review. While this has been a challenging year for so many in our community and our country, I remain grateful for the trust you have placed in me as your representative in Congress. Here’s just a small glimpse into what we were able to accomplish together ⬇️
This year’s annual defense bill has been signed into law. Good news in an otherwise frustrating year: there is real bipartisan oversight of the Executive branch in the legislation. Here are three reasons why President Trump secretly hates the legislation.
From water quality monitoring through the buoy system to convening an expert Task Force to tackle invasive blue catfish, I’m proud to co-lead Congressman Bobby Scott’s Chesapeake Bay WATERS Act to reauthorize this office & continue the innovative work it conducts to preserve our Bay for generations.
Although it took nearly a year for the full repeal to take place, this was a crucial first legislative step towards creating a more accepting institution after far too many servicemembers were discharged for simply being who they are.
