My Maryland Delegation colleagues and I are standing together against the politicization of our civil servants and millions of Americans’ health care by this Administration – people's lives and livelihoods should never be used as political pawns.

Maryland is home to more than 140,000 federal employees, hundreds of whom we’ve each heard from who are acutely feeling the effects of this shutdown.
I encourage you to check out our comprehensive resource guide with frequently asked questions about the shutdown, and if you still have questions or you need help with a federal agency, you can always call our office at (410) 832-8890.
The federal government may be shut down, but my Columbia and Washington offices are still open and working to support constituents, just as we always have.
Today is the last day to submit your military academy nominations. For those who are working on your applications, please finalize and submit your application by midnight tonight. Best of luck, nominees!

We’ve updated our resource guide to include state resources, so please utilize the site below:
I joined @govwesmoore.bsky.social and other members of the state and federal Maryland Delegation to reaffirm our fight for the 190,000 Marylanders who need lower premiums to afford health care and to share how our offices can continue to support our civil servants during these uncertain times.
Supporting you during this shutdown means not only constantly communicating with folks on the ground, but working with elected leaders across the State of Maryland, local governments, and my colleagues in Congress to provide our constituents with the best information and resources.
Yom Kippur is a time of self-reflection, renewal, and inner peace. For all those who celebrate, I’m wishing you a meaningful day and easy fast. G’mar Chatima Tova!
We’re now one hour out from starting our virtual town hall! If you have any questions about the shutdown, you can still join me at the link below!
I'm still here in Washington — like I've been all week — ready to work with my colleagues to fund our government. Throughout this Republican shutdown, my office will be open, and I'm committed to supporting all of #MD03 with resources, including our virtual town hall tonight!
Whether you’re a federal employee or you rely on a critical government program, you can join me virtually today at 5:30 PM.
My team and I have heard from many of you with questions during this uncertain time. That’s why we’re hosting a virtual town hall TONIGHT to help you navigate a government shutdown from day one.
I’ve been in Washington with my fellow House Democrats fighting tooth and nail to keep the government open, protect federal workers, & protect the health care of the American people. See my full statement below.
After Republicans in the White House and both chambers of Congress failed to act, we are now in a government shutdown.
My Columbia and Washington offices will remain open even during a shutdown, and we will continue to support you all however we can – call us at (410) 832-8890.
I encourage you to check out our office’s new comprehensive guide with resources to help Marylanders affected by a potential government shutdown.
As we inch closer to tonight’s funding deadline, I know there is great uncertainty about what happens to federal programs, federal employees, and assistance available during a shutdown.
I want to extend my gratitude to the Admirals and Generals who continue to serve our country with the upmost professionalism and refuse to play into the President’s partisan games.
President Trump and Secretary Hegseth’s gathering 800 military leaders at once for a political press show is wildly inappropriate - not to mention a national security concern. It should also go without saying (but here, I’ll say it): American cities should not be training grounds for our military.
