George William Foster is an American businessman, physicist, and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Illinois's 11th congressional district since 2013. He was the U.S. representative for Illinois's 14th congressional district from 2008 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Simplifying and automating tax returns is something I’ve been working on since I introduced the Autofill Act of 2010. I don’t agree with much the DOGE commission is doing, but it would be great if they got this across the finish line!
Leaders of President-elect Donald Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” have discussed creating a mobile app for Americans to file their taxes free with the Internal Revenue Service, according to two people who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Matt Gaetz, Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, was under investigation for serious allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor—but he resigned just days before the findings were set to be released. This shouldn't be a partisan issue. The Ethics Committee must immediately release the report.
