Trump’s complete & utter disregard for two incredible Americans being brutally murdered is almost too disgusting to believe. Instead of honoring their lives, he turned their deaths into a political punchline and a personal attack.
So I’ll remind him of his own words, after Charlie Kirk was killed:
I refuse to hide who I am. Today, I will remember those we’ve lost and celebrate Hanukkah with my community. Chag Sameach to all who are celebrating. We will not be intimidated.
And yet, even in this darkness, there is light.
In Sydney, a hero named Ahmed El Ahmed risked everything to stop the attacker. He was shot while protecting others and saved countless lives.
People like him give me hope, and I am praying for him.
Antisemitism is rising. Hate is rising. According to the FBI, even though Jews make up only around 2 percent of the U.S. population, they were the target of nearly 70 percent of all reported religion-based hate crimes in 2024.
I am heartbroken. A horrific attack at a Hanukkah gathering in Australia has left at least 10 people dead, and just miles from my district, a California home was shot at for simply displaying Hanukkah decorations.
This is not normal. 🧵
Is your passport expiring before you travel this holiday season? My stellar staff can help you at our Mobile Office Hours on December 16th.
Social security, veterans benefits, and passports – if you have a federal issue, we can help.
That's why I'll continue to fight for programs and resources that give all of our children a fair chance to succeed. (2/2)
I just cosponsored a bipartisan resolution to celebrate 50 years of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Education should be accessible to all, especially for children with disabilities. (1/2)
I sat down with the Beverly Press to share my thoughts on the Warner Bros. Situation.
We should be watchful of the law; and push for a deal which offers the most public benefits – especially for the workers & businesses who rely on the film & TV industry.

There is too much corruption in government. Members of Congress shouldn’t be trading individual stocks. I just signed the discharge petition to force a vote on a ban. It’s time to put the public’s trust ahead of private gain.
These kind of police-state actions are how democracies decay. We must pass the No Masks for ICE Act so that ICE and Border Patrol can be held to the same standards as other public safety agencies. (2/2)
The Trump Administration has gone full “deep state” - now secretly surveilling Americans who dare criticize their unconscionably brutal and cruel immigration raids. (1/2)
I went on Fox 11’s Good Day LA to discuss the Warner Bros deal & bring attention back to what’s at risk: bringing jobs back to boost one of America’s greatest industries & Trump’s desire to censor CNN.
Listen to my thoughts here:
I’ll keep fighting to make sure we stay on the cutting edge of research; to give every American the chance of a cure. (2/2)
Thanks to the Trump Administration, there will likely be fewer cures for diseases. As a breast cancer survivor, I know what this means. Herceptin — the drug that saved so many lives — was discovered with federal government support, as have thousands of effective treatments. (1/2)
President Trump ought to be more focused on how any deal should protect jobs and consumers, and less about himself and his own interests. (2/2)
A sitting President is demanding that the Warner Bros. deal be contorted to silence dissent from a news outlet in exchange for his approval of the deal. This is a textbook example of a quid pro quo. (1/2)
My new transit safety bill will help keep Americans safe on transit without making you pay more at the turnstile.
If you like peace of mind when you travel, tell your Member of Congress to support the bipartisan Safe and Affordable Transit Act!
