Rubén Marinelarena Gallego is an American politician and Marine Corps veteran serving since 2025 as the junior United States senator from Arizona. A member of the Democratic Party, he served from 2015 to 2025 as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona and from 2011 to 2014 as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives.

I’m heartbroken and horrified by the brutal murder of Melissa Hortman and her husband. Sydney and I are keeping Senator Hoffman and his wife in our thoughts as they fight to recover. This kind of violence is devastating. No one should ever fear for their life like this, especially in their own home
Our family just got a little bigger, and I couldn’t be more grateful! While I’ll still be voting on the floor, I’m stepping back from public duties for a while to focus on my most important job — being a dad. Thank you for all the messages of love and support.
Republicans want to take $1,000 a year from families making under $50K and hand it to the top 1%. I grew up in a family where every dollar mattered. This isn’t just bad policy -- it’s a slap in the face to working people.
Trump is gutting the agency that tracks inflation —hiding that he’s raising your prices AND lowering your social security increases. I’m leading a group of Senators to demand answers.
We fought hard for this project and I’m proud to see it becoming reality. The light rail extension will help connect South Phoenix to new jobs and new opportunities. This is a big win.
