Trump’s shutdown is hurting working families and blocking access to the services we rely on. I’m hosting a Tele Townhall to break down how we got here and ensure Angelenos have the info we need during this uncertain time.  🗓️Tuesday, 10/7/25  ⏰7:00 PM PT RSVP: bit.ly/octobertelet...
Wishing a meaningful Yom Kippur to everyone in Los Angeles and across the country observing today. May this be a day of reflection, renewal, and peace.
Why did Trump and Republicans shut down the government? To force millions of Americans to pay more in taxes just to keep their health care—or lose it altogether. All while the billionaire class keeps cashing in on Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” that gave them trillions in permanent tax breaks.
Trump can't keep our government open and has no one to blame but himself. When Americans wake up tomorrow morning, they will know who's at fault: Donald Trump and the spineless Republicans who sold them out.
At midnight tonight, Republicans will let Donald Trump shut down the government because they don't have the balls to stop him. Millions of their own constituents will suffer, and Americans will remember who sold us out.
Every time Donald Trump puts up a racist AI generated video of Hakeem Jefferies or any of my colleagues, I’ll put a new movie poster about Trump and Epstein. #ReleasetheEpsteinFiles
The Republicans canceled votes on the day that the federal government is shutting down at midnight. Millions of Americans will see their healthcare premiums skyrocket because of them. Democrats are here to work and get the job done. Tell Trump and the Republicans to do their jobs.
Trump just called American citizens “the enemy within,” encouraging the men and women of the armed forces to use OUR cities as military training grounds. It’s time to wake up, put aside our differences, and create a united front to oppose Trump’s unconstitutional and illegal abuse of power.
I strongly condemn the vile and dangerous threats made against my friend and colleague, Rep. Jayapal. Amid an already dangerous climate, this rhetoric only increases the likelihood of further violence. Republicans must denounce it, there can be no tolerance for inciting violence.
#TeamGomez joined Little Tokyo Service Center to celebrate the opening of The Umeya, turning the historic Umeya Rice Cake Factory into affordable homes in Little Tokyo and Skid Row. Projects like this are exactly what we need to solve America’s housing crisis.
In two days, Republicans will shut down the government unless they can rip health care away from 4.2 million people. Add that to the 10 million already hit by Trump’s Big 'Beautiful' Bill, and you see exactly who Republicans are willing to sacrifice to please their Dear Leader.
Trump’s DOJ is demanding states hand over our most personal data: voting history, driver’s licenses, even Social Security numbers. This isn’t normal. It’s a direct attack on our privacy and an attempt to rig our elections from the inside out.
After the DOJ sued six states over their refusal to hand over sensitive voter data, @padilla.senate.gov (D-CA) called out Trump’s weaponization of the DOJ and said the president would “stop at nothing to rig future elections in a desperate effort to cling to power.”
The American Dream is about taking risks, exploring opportunities, and building something of your own. I joined the Eastside Hustle & Heart Summit in Lincoln Heights to spotlight our small business owners who are pursuing their dreams and strengthening our community.
Today, I rallied with health care providers to warn what’s at stake if Republicans shut down the government and allow ACA tax credits to expire. I’ll keep pressing them to negotiate so working families don’t pay the price.
Republicans are coming for your Social Security and not even trying to hide it. It’s almost as if their "Big Beautiful Bill" was written BY billionaires FOR billionaires.
BREAKING: Tomorrow, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is BACK. But the fight isn’t over against Trump, his cronies, and censorship.
BREAKING: Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return on Tuesday night following a brief suspension. "Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country..."
#TeamGomez presented CCNP a certificate to celebrate 25 years of serving our community. While families fear leaving their homes because of ICE, CCNP is delivering essentials and providing services to help them survive.
