Under absolutely no circumstances will I vote to save Mike Johnson or any other Republican for Speaker.
She won’t.
This all makes sense. And thanks for your strong voice here on this platform.
Done! Glad you are here.
Agree that we need to remember that this is a bar fight, holding hands and hoping things get better is not a strategy.
It’s a fear I have also but I think We can stop them on this issue.
Agree with this.
Never would. As one of the few LGBTQ+ members of congress this is really important to me.
Absolutely not.
I’ve got a couple hours before I land in DC, anything you want me to know before I get this next term in Congress started?
Headed back to Washington DC clear headed about the challenges ahead. And not taking for granted how fragile our Democracy is and that our institutions will face unprecedented attacks. Our role as members of Congress will be critical during this second Trump presidency.
Our thoughts are with the families of those killed in the New Orleans attack. We must support law enforcement on the ground and ensure justice for the families and loved ones impacted by this tragedy. We will work closely with our agencies to continue to monitor this situation.
I know we all want to be optimistic going into new year but Donald Trump is going to be the president again. Buckle up and get ready.
Just spent 5 very relaxed days in Puerto Vallarta. Lots of beach time, sun, and good Mexican beer.
I express my deepest condolences for the passing of President Jimmy Carter. He leaves an incredible legacy as a kind and selfless fighter for the American people, for human rights and for our environment. We will all work together to carry on his work and his memory.
My take is that H1B visas are important and should be expanded but so should work permits and pathways to citizenship for our immigrant farmers and other workers.
VP Harris lost to Trump by 1.5% in a close election while still earning a historic number of votes for a nominee. She turned around her favorability numbers in a short period of time. Yes, we lost and Republicans gained in swing states but we gained seats in the House. I’m proud of Kamala Harris.
I’m kinda here for the Elon/MAGA meltdown.
