Government funding bill passes in the House.
34 Republicans vote no.
One Democrat votes present.
And we have more fights ahead. We need to permanently fund health centers. We need to continue cancer research funding. We need to provide more local and state funds. We need to win the majority in 2026 and push back everytime.
The bill isn’t perfect, but shutting down the government at midnight would have hurt working people the most.
I would have voted for that bill but they pulled it and it wasn’t coming back. Thats why we need to win the majority.
Elon Musk and Donald Trump tried to shutdown the government and raise the debt limit to pass huge tax cuts for their billionaire friends - but we stopped them. The government stays funded and we move forward. Don’t ever stop fighting.
