Not sure who needs to hear this but bipartisanship with Trump and these extremist billionaires isn’t going to work. They want power at all costs and won’t give an inch. Democrats need to fight them with everything we got.
These DOGE billionaires want to redistribute working class and middle class wealth to themselves and their companies. Democrats need to fight their efforts.
I’ll let @reichlinmelnick.bsky.social who’s an expert respond.
Did y’all know that approx 90% of fentanyl smuggled into the U.S. are not by migrants crossing the border, but at legal ports of entry.
Did y’all also know that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than U.S. citizens?
The more you know…
I want to like this post, but won’t.

I’m not a defense policy expert, but it seems like a bad idea to nominate an alcoholic rapist to lead the world’s largest and most lethal military.
Both Alex and I serve on the Oversight Committee so it’s likely we will at the center of the fight back.
Another reason to not work with the DOGE billionaires is that they want to redistribute wealth from working class families into the pockets of the billionaire class and the companies they own. There’s nothing to negotiate with them, we can only fight back.
I don’t plan to ignore them - I plan to fight their efforts.
We have a housing crisis, food costs are too high, and folks can barley afford to pay rent. Yet Republicans in congress scheduled 1 vote today in the House: Communism in Schools. What a waste of time. I voted no.
Why should we work with two billionaires that are hell bent on destroying public benefits and healthcare. Democrats need to oppose their efforts with everything we got. There is no room for partnership.
I support all unions.
That’s also correct.
You can put me down as a member of congress who will absolutely not work with DOGE. They want to dismantle the social safety net and our institutions. Hard pass.
I also support numerous non profit newsrooms - but as resident of LB/LA, we need the Times to survive. I understand tho and get the decisions people are making.
I understand that, but we need good reporters and reporting. The LA Times has solid folks working there and that’s why I’m choosing to continue to subscribe.
For all the Californians especially this is a great starter pack for LA Times reporters. I didn’t make it but it’s super useful.

This was so helpful! Thanks!
Jamie Raskin is going to be an incredible ranking member and future chair of the Judiciary Committee. We will miss him greatly as our leader on the Oversight Committee.
